recently flew with Delta Air Lines and had a very disappointing experience. I paid for my seat and followed the baggage rules by bringing one carry-on bag and one personal item, but the staff still forced me to check my carry-on at the gate, saying there was no overhead space available.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that after boarding, I could clearly see there was still space available in the overhead cabinet for my bag. My medicine and fragile glass souvenirs were inside the carry-on, and I couldn’t access them during the flight. When I received my luggage after landing, several items were damaged.
On top of that, the staff was rude and unhelpful throughout the situation, which made the experience even worse. I understand flights can be crowded, but passengers who pay for their seats and follow the rules deserve respectful treatment and accurate information. Very disappointing experience overall.
