Such a great stay! Staff was pleasant and super helpful, breakfast was very good, the property was spotless, and soooo close to the beach. There was a small misunderstanding with payment from my airport to hotel transfer and it was handled very smoothly and efficiently! Def would stay here again for my next trip to Paje. Will miss everything about it (especially the adorable cat that greeted me for breakfast every day)!

It's close to the beach, but everything around the hotel is under construction. Make sure to ask your way to the beach, it's well worth it. I found the staff to be kind and informative. This is a very good value for the prices and there are a few nice restaurants around the hotel like Al Casbah

It was just what I wanted, a small relaxing place with a lovely pool, close to the beach. My room was kept very clean and had a safe, air-con and small fridge. The staff were so attentive, there was always someone around to answer a question or prepare food. Breakfasts, beginning with fresh fruit were freshly prepared as was each meal I had. I would love to go back there.

Initially placed in a smaller room overnight and moved to a more expansive room with a substantial balcony for the rest of our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and really well maintained by attentive and friendly staff. It was literally a four minute walk to the beach along a quiet path, with a five or six minute walk to the centre of town where the more substantial shops and restaurants were. So overall no isdue with the accommodation or location in relation to convenience or quality of service.

Absolutely loved my two nights here at Villa Huruma. It’s a small cozy hotel which I really prefer to the giant hotels. The property is beautiful with great decor and lots of plants. The pool was so refreshing and the chairs comfortable. Everything here looks very new from rhe tile around the pool to the cement flooring and walls in the room. The balcony was also a nice bonus though the view isn’t great it’s nice to relax in the evening breeze. The breakfast was top notch especially the eggs. Really liked having the electric plugs on the back of the bed so it was easy to use with the mosquito net down. The AC worked well and the water pressure in the shower was good. There are daily power outages but they never lasted more than a few moments and are common throughout the island. It’s very close to the beach and many restaurants. Definitely recommend and it’s been my favorite hotel so far.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Went as a solo traveller and felt so safe and looked after there. Room is cleaned daily and is spotless. Pool area also spotless. Lots of great options for breakfast. Staff are really friendly. Have already recommended to others and would stay again when in the area!

Peaceful bliss

The beach is a few minute walk. The hotel is small 6 units, the service, meals and upkeep is done by a few very hard working ladies. We enjoyed our slice of heaven here.

La villa est magnifique, le personnel est adorable et les repas sont délicieux. On est à 5 min à pied de la plage et du centre de Paje. Je recommande !

When I was looking for a place to stay in Paje, not too far from the beach and not too expensive, I stumbled upon Villa Huruma. It had excellent reviews and looked great on their website. However, when I got there it was even better than I had imagined! The 5 star reviews were spot on! Beautifully maintained pool and grounds, spotlessly clean rooms, gracious and professional staff- it’s a fabulous oasis of calm and decadence. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options and I had a wonderful dinner of rice and vegetable stir fry, too. My visit was highlighted by getting up early and walking 3 minutes to the beach to see the sun rise over the Indian Ocean. Book a stay at Villa Huruma! You will not regret it!

a little oasis 100m from Paje beach.

The rooms were really nice and fresh. great details and touches. The pool is just the right length to swim some easy laps. And the breakfast was always well done. I will return there for sure.

I don't normally review hotels unless they're extremely good or extremely bad. This place falls into the first category - absolutely incredible. Amazing staff, beautiful place, great owner, good food. Cannot recommend enough - all the high scoring reviews are completely justified

Villa Huruma è un vero boutique hotel situato subito dietro la spiaggia di Paje. Le camere deluxe con l'ampia terrazza sono molto carine così come la piscina e il patio in cui fare colazione. Ma il vero valore aggiunto sono Lucy e le altre ragazze che lo gestiscono con professionalità e gentilezza e che nonostante l'assenza del proprietario italiano se la sono cavata alla grande.La colazione dolce e salata alla carta è molto buona. Il rapporto prezzo qualità il migliore che abbiamo trovato durante il nostro tour dell'isola.

the villa is as shown in the photos. Very friendly staff, happy to help you. The beach is within walking distance, which is ideal. local shops also such as supermarket, gift shop or pharmacy. The food at the villa is also very tasty. What you have to keep in mind is that everything closes at 10 p.m. in Zanzibar, including at the villa. The only thing that is a pity is the people around the villa/beach disturb you every minute. Yes and the paths where you have to walk and there is no light outside in the dark but this is all over Zanzibar.
