"The Outrigger isn’t a hotel, it’s a collection of individual owned units. No two are the same.
The ocean view units don’t have A/C. With the humidity around Poipu, it’s unacceptable. The unit I was assigned was the building furthest back from the beach.
No elevators, walk up 2 flights of stairs with suitcases.
I’m surprised Expedia listed this property is a 4.2. Very disappointing we booked here.
When we talked to the ‘front desk’ person, we asked about A/C, they could move us to another room for an extra (outrageous amount) per night! Book somewhere else!"
"Very nice beach on the property and location was exceptional
Room was misrepresented in the photo description. Photo of ocean front room on Orbitz displayed an in room sofa and double vanity in bathroom.
Our oceanfront room had neither of these amenities."
"The property is beautiful and vast, although the cottages are a bit old. Located next to the water but not the water to swim in. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."
"From the concierges, to the valets, to the poolside wait staff, to the housekeeping, the hospitality was wonderful! We made the mistake of doing Uber instead of a rental car. Not the smartest idea considering it is really easy to get an Uber from the airport to Princeville, but very hard to get an Uber while at the hotel. The valet manager and staff were very helpful in arranging other transportation for us, and even drove us to and from the hotel to the the Princeville Market so we could try some other restaurants in addition to the ones at the hotel. Perfect access to the beach and fun trails to walk/hike."
"The grounds on this resort are spectacular. I don't usually notice flowers but I've never seen anything like this.
The beach was the most amazing beach I've ever seen. I'm a mainlander so take that with a grain of salt, but I'm seeing other beaches on the island and nothing compares. The waves were always crashing, people were surfing, there are huge areas of sand, . it was amazing.
Before coming I read reviews that things are in disrepair. I did not experience that. Things in the room were a bit old, but everything was there and everything worked. But most units seem to have private owners, so you mileage may vary."
"Beautiful resort; loved the accomodations and amenities; staff were friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the lack of parking even though guests pay extra for it."
