Clean and comfortable room, with wonderful staff. And in a perfect location for delightful walks through Oxford's Sommertown. In addition, a great choice of restaurants within a ten minute walk, and easy bus service to nearby City Center.

The staff is very friendly. They treated us as family. The room is smal but cosy. A few nice restaurant is located around. We enjoyed ‘namaste’(Nepal food) and ‘kopitiam’ (Malaysian food) nearby.
Comfortable one night stay in the centre of Summertown. The only comment is the tap in the vanity sink needs repair or replacement. The shower cubicle is quite small but just right for my petite stature.

The guest house is easy to find with parking. The rooms and premises were very clean and the rooms had everything we needed.
Located a couple of miles from the city centre it was easy to get around. We walked in the first day which took approximately 35 minutes. £10 for an uber back. The second day we caught the bus £10 day pass for 5 of us and easy to do.
We didn;t have breakfast but the room looked really nice and the staff we met were helpful.
My only negative would be that we were in the front bedroom and it was noisy from traffic outside. It seems Oxford traffic doesn't reduce during the night so made sleeping difficult (although my husband managed to sleep through).
A comfortable and clean space to stay. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable and the shower was great. There was breakfast included in the morning with several options and eggs cooked to order. I would book here again if staying in the area.
We stayed for 3 nights as we were visiting Oxford for the Literary Festival. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The guest house was very clean and felt newly refurbished.
We parked on site. There were frequent buses into town which made it a very convenient place to stay. There are also shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.
Recommended.

Excellent location. No breakfast included.
The room was not cleaned nor the beds done, for the second night.
My room was small but clean and cozy, and the location was great! Kind of far from the center but it was easy to get a bus, and there was plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within a two minute walk of the hotel.
Transport to my conference venue was easy. The room was clean and well maintained. There were several places to each and grocery stores within walking distance. (Joe's was especially good.) It was perfect for what we needed.
The property is clean and cozy. Excellentt staff service . I manage to have a good sleep but really suggest that they needed to extra cushion as the spring of the bed is feeling on your back. But overall all good as its easy access to city center. Highly recommended this property.
My room was very clean and comfortable.
It’s a nice quiet location very close to summer town centre.
The lady was very nice and welcoming.
Very hot shower which was nice..
I would stay again should I be up that way again.
Had to wait outside for nearly 10 minutes while ringing the doorbell and trying to phone all the contact numbers.

Disliked: Staff & service
Extra hidden charges
This is the second poor experience I’ve had at this property. This hotel uses another booking system that complicates the booking with hotels.com. I already had one experience where I showed up and had a booking but I wasn’t in their system for a booking.
I have just stayed again at the guest house and had a terrible administrative experience. I booked again through hotels.com and chose the “pay at the property” option when booking. (I wanted to make sure I had a room before paying.) The same day I booked, I received an email from the property saying they had charged me a pre-authorization fee that I wasn’t aware of. Then they proceeded to charge the price of the hotel room as well even though I had chosen to pay at the property. I figured I’d be able to sort the situation once I got to the hotel.
When I arrived, I asked about the administrative fee and the staff was defensive and dismissive and claimed they didn’t do it and couldn’t do anything about the charge. I was shocked that I couldn’t get an answer about the extra charge.
They can charge you whatever fee they want and at the end of the day, you can’t do anything about it. This fee and service really spoiled my stay at this guest house.

The hosts were friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and had several mirrors which was great for three women trying to get ready at the same time. I would highly recommend this guest house.
I booked a single room for one night with shared bathroom while visiting family in Oxford.
The guest house is in a perfect location in Summertown, on a direct bus route from city centre with lots of cafes restaurants and shops close by. The 500 park and ride bus goes directly from the railway station to bus stop right opposite the guest house.
The attic room was small but spotlessly clean with fresh bedding and towels. The bathroom was modern and also spotless. As the room was in attic it had a velux window in the roof. It didn't close properly meaning if it had rained the rain would have fallen directly on the bed.
The guest house is on a very busy main road and the traffic noise was loud even during the night as I couldn't close the window. Also the walls were very thin and i could hear the conversation of the people staying in the room next door.
I'd advise guests to remember to take their room key with them when they use the bathroom as i was woken at 6am by a fellow guest who had locked themselves out and needed help!
Breakfast was available and there was a bright clean dining room although i didnt have the breakfast.
Overall if the window and noise issues were fixed it would have been a great stay its a lovely little guest house in a really convenient location for a visit to Oxford.
Summertown is a nice location for Oxford. Pleasant walk (30 minutes) or short bus ride to central Oxford.
The wifi was decent. Walls a bit thin, and the shower leaked water on the bathroom floor, but nothing too bad.
The breakfast was very nice, with good coffee and eggs cooked to order.
A pleasant guesthouse not too far from Blenheim Palace. We had a nice room with tea/coffee facilities and toiletries plus free breakfast and parking at a great price. Staff were always happy to help and very polite. There is also a bus stop right outside.
