The property was absolutely immaculate! Beautiful garden and great surroundings. Very big Welcome from the host, extremely clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast was always served with a heaping pit of the best tea and the biggest smile. Would absolutely go back again! Miss it already.

This was our favorite stay on our trip. Beautiful surroundings. Our host was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious. View from our window was lovely. We went for a walk to nearby castle and enjoy it. Thank you.

Mary made sure we were comfortable at her charming bnb. The view was beautiful and the room we had was just the right size for our family of 4. Breakfast was delicious. Mary also went the extra mile to share suggestions about the area and how to make the most of our visit. We loved the unique flare and style of the bnb and would recommend for others to stay here, especially if you want something quiet and private.

The Waterfront House was an absolutely gorgeous property with a lake view and magnificent gardens. Our room was nicely furnished and very clean. Our host was welcoming and very gracious. The continental breakfast was average with croissants, toast and brown bread, butter and jam. The boats pictured on the website are not available for guests to use. That was a bit of a disappointment. I would stay here again.

The view is gorgeous around the property. The breakfast was well done, filling and protein packed. We found the mattress to be well worn and hard for our liking. A comfortable bed is a big deal to us now that we’re getting older.

Perfect spot

Mary was the perfect hostess. Nothing was a trouble to her....she was helpful but not intrusive. The Waterfront does not lie....what a beautiful view of Lough Corrib from our room and from the terrace. Peaceful yet not too far from the buzz of Oughterard (Mary can organise taxi for 20 euros return) Mary also organised a fishing trip for another group whilst we were there and is willing to help with any advice of where to go and what to do. Breakfast was delicious....as well as full Irish there were homemade scones/pancakes/fresh bread as well as fresh orange juice, cereal etc. Definitely the place to stay if you want to visit this delightful area.

The room has very thin walls where we could hear someone snoring all evening from another room also walking on the top floor. Upon arrival I had to ask for new towels as they smelled moldy/dirty. To add to it the shower had black mold on the top portion. During breakfast, my husband and I wanted to sit side by side to look out the window and we were told we could not even tho the dining area had only one other couple.

Very disappointed having stayed at other venues. The property was clean but so outdated and tired. Old blankets were used as bedding, no duvets. The en suite was very small and the shower cubicle I could never have used. I am not obese in any way. The tv had only two channels, BBC 1 and BBC 2. Sound was limited as you could hear people next door and upstairs. No tea or coffee making facilities. Full Irish breakfast did not include white or black pudding, mushrooms nor beans. Having travelled for almost 3 hrs, we arrived at 14.55 only to be be told that check in was not until 16.00. We were told to go into the village for a coffee. I had not noticed any time to check in if there was one. I presumed it was 15.00. We stayed only for one of the two nights booked and expect a refund of our second night.

Die Straße wurde immer schmaler und schien ins nirgendwo zu führen. Sie brachte uns zu einem idyllisch gelegenen B&B mit netter Herbergsmutter. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war lecker und ausreichend.

Ro, fred og bølgeskvulp.

Fantastisk beliggenhed. Ro og fred helt uden trafikstøj eller andre gener. Når man åbnede et vindue eller satte sig udenfor, var det eneste man hørte bølgeskvulp fra søen. Huset lå helt nede ved søen, for enden af en ca. 2 km lang Mark/Skovvej. Men der var kun 5 min. kørsel ind til den lille hyggelige by med gode spisesteder. Check In var nemt og hurtigt, og værtinden var sød og hjælpsom mht. hvad man skulle se i området. Værelset var lidt lydt om natten, når andre var på toilet, snorkede osv. Men det var ikke noget større problem for os. Men gør jer selv den tjeneste at booke et værelse med søudsigt. Det er bare så smukt.

Beau séjour

Bel accueil. Un détail amusant : l’heure c’est l’heure si petit déjeuner à 8h ce n’est pas 7h59 et surtout pas 8h15. Endroit bien situé, tranquillité assurée et pour le golfeurs un parcours à 300 m.

Cousins Road Trip
