The hotel was on strike while we were there so no hot breakfast but no reduced price which was disappointing."

"The breakfast was excellent with a good variety , and ingredients were fresh, and all staff was very pleasant and super helpful. Kitchen workers were efficient, though at breakfast I unexpectedly chewed on a piece triangular sharp piece of plastics ( looked like from packaging ) in the ham that caused piercing pain on my gum temporarily . I at first thought it was glass but glad it wasn’t and I didn’t swallow it. I took the piece to one of the restaurant workers to tell him.
It’s an older property , amenities were minimal but adequate. Towels were small. Just one bottle of cleanser for the hair snd body. No coffee or tea or a safe in the room. ."

"Hotel location is right next to the Bergen fortress. And about 200m to the Bryggen waterfront. Room is clean. As we have a rental car, we have to pay NOK250 per day for hotel parking. Leave the car in the hotel and explored the Bergen on foot as parking in the city is NOK52 per hour. Breakfast buffet was great. Staffs were helpful. "

"An outstanding, comfortable hotel in the center of the Btyggen Harbour area with the most genuine friendly welcoming staff that I’ve experienced. Our kingbed room was larger than expected and nicely appointed. It’s incredibly quiet, even though the the hotel was completely booked. The only thing is in the room is a place for storage of any clothing besides a few hangers. breakfast was excellent with a very good selection you to choose from..
There was a strike on in the hospitality industry when we arrived. Most hotels had closed Boston Marathon was on and the Bergen was packed. With very reduced that Paul did an amazing job accommodating and keeping people comfortable as possible.. I wouldn’t consider another hotel in Bergen again and we’ll definitely be back. "

"Our bathroom had black mould in the shower area and the whole room smelt like mildew/mould. Staff was not helpful & quite rude when addressed. They did go on mid strike during our stay, which did not effect our stay"
