Revisiting Ostend 36 years later with family

Great hotel and super situation for the best part of the beach and close to great local bars and nightlife and super restaurants very close including a Mexican 2 minutes away ,all the staff from the man who allowed us to leave our bags in extra early to the friendly girl who let us check in really early ,the bar staff and breakfast staff were also really friendly and the food for breakfast was generous and very tasty and covered many tastes . We had a wonderful few days and want to go back soon ,thanks to all the staff it really makes a difference .

Not what I expected, but AWESOME anyway

I booked a room for myself, and my friends, a married couple also booked a room. We were under the impression both rooms had king beds and air conditioning, however only one room did. The other room had two twin beds pushed together with no AC. The location is GREAT! About 1 mile walking to the train station near the beach, and it cooled off so I could open the windows. It was an awesome place to stay for the W Festival !

One Night Stay

Small room with sliding door into bathroom adjacent to left side of bed. Clean and comfortable but cramped. Receptionist was welcoming and very helpful. Unfortunately there was building work being carried out close by which started at 6am.

Goed gelegen hotel maar basis comfort

De troeven van dit hotel zijn zijn mooie ligging vlak bij de dijk en zijn uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en dit tegen een redelijke prijs. Maar er is een keerzijde. De kamer is donker, het bed zakt door, de badkamer is gedateerd met een douchesproeier die je moet vasthouden omdat hij naar beneden zakt, dunne handdoeken, geen dagelijkse schoonmaak... We begrijpen dat vernieuwing geld kost maar wat we niet begrijpen is de incheck policy waarbij ze hardnekkig weigeren om de kamer vrij te geven vóór de officiële inchecktijd van 3pm. Als gevolg daarvan was er om 3.30pm een file van 6 gezinnen om in te checken. Dit is onaangenaam voor iedereen en wat flexibiliteit hierin kost niets. De receptionist is wel zeer vriendelijk.

Optimale Lage in Oostende, kurze Wege zum Strand, zur Promenade, zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Dennoch leise in einer Seitenstraße gelegen. Parkplätze vor dem Haus nur sehr wenige, die meist aber belegt waren und zwischen 9 und 20 Uhr gezahlt werden müssen (alle 2 Stunden). Parkhaus des Hauses liegt um den Block, ist zu Fuß gut erreichbar aber bietet nur wenige Plätze an, die nicht im voraus reserviert werden können. Aktueller Preis dafür liegt bei 24€ pro Tag, die nächsten Tiefgaragen im nahen Umkreis liegen bei 30€ pro Tag. Muss man aber nehmen da es kaum andere Parkmöglichkeiten so nah am Strand/Zentrum gibt. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr sauber, jeden Tag wurde das Zimmer gereinigt und auch der Handtuchwechsel funktionierte problemos. Das Fühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut, voll ausreichend und man findet alles was man braucht. Wenn mal was leer ist, wird es umgehend aufgefüllt. Ein Aufzug ist auch vorhanden. Der TV im Zimmer bietet eine kleine Auswahl an Programmen (auch deutsche) von denen leider die meisten durch Störsignale nicht zu schauen sind und wenn z.B. im Nebenzimmer das Licht oder die Klimaanlage an sind geht gar nix mehr. Klimaanlage und Kühlschrank waren bei uns vorhanden und gerade im Sommer notwendig. Leider hört man nachts die Klimaanlage des Nachbarzimmers auch brummen. Zum Badezimmer: Wir hatten eine Badewanne, zum Baden viel zu klein, zum Duschen eine Zumutung da es keine Abtrennung oder einen Duschvorhang gab. Ein paar Tage schafft man aber auch das.

Veldig varmt rom uten AC. Mye støy mot bakgården, skrik og skrål, hundestøy og fugler. Utelys som går på hele tiden via bevegelses sensor. Hele rommet lyses da opp pga glassdør til bad. Denne er heller ikke tett når man er på do... En hel natt uten søvn.
