"The man at the front desk just handed me a key. He did not say anything about the breakfast, gym or dock on the salt pond. Another guest told us about the breakfast. "Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. I happened to meet the owner and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The hotel staff were so accomodating to all that we needed. "We have been to the Pleasant View Inn in Westerly 3 times, now, and it never disappoints. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are clean and the pool was warm and crystal clear. We had requested a bottle of champagne in our room the day of arrival to celebrate our 37th year anniversary and there it was chilling in the fridge with two glass champagne flutes as we asked. "Beach was beautiful and so was the view once the fog cleared. Staff was friendly. We liked the proximity to downtown. Breakfast was mediocre, would have liked a protein( hard boiled eggs or something comparable. "

The maintenance person came and showed us how to use the remote and at that point I said that I think the upstairs unit is not working, which is what was keeping the heat from turning on however he assured me that it was working. "Our first breakfast was excellent. The second time was horrible 😫 the staff quiet not together. Our room was short of soap, shampoo and I asked for towel nobody seems to care and not helpful. The only 1 who was kind enough to do thier job is the young man who was in main entrance who open doors, he did more for than the rest of the people we asked help."

"I really like staying here in a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and frig and microwave, so I can buy groceries and do my own cooking in the room. A big space for a reasonable price. Very clean property, well-maintained, and you only have to cross the street and you're on the beach, which is a BIG PLUS!"

"Good location, very close to shops and restaurants. Room was average in quality, nothing fancy, but served our needs well. Biggest negative is that we had people constantly walking back and forth upstairs - way past midnight! It was very loud and disturbing. Almost as if someone (staff) may be permanently living upstairs above our room. Would stay here again for the location - would not stay here again because of the noise."
