"The chalets in the bush were beautiful, however there’s no lifts or parking near your room. So you had to carry your suitcases to your room and walk up & down the hill to reach your car. The breakfast was disappointing. I expected a lot more from a Mercure hotel."

"The room, bathroom, and kitchenette were very clean. Big plus included a little private balcony with great views onto the bay. Check-in was handled via the phone and the manager came a bit later to check if everything was ok. Parking was free. All in all, a nice place to stay."

"The room was super cute and the amenities in our studio were better than I expected. The onsite laundry was a big plus. The location is great - a couple blocks to the beach, not far from the Cathedral Cove track, and a ten minute drive to Hot Water Beach. There’s also a store and cafe next door. Highly recommended."

Fridge in room not functional, unable to store food-which was unfortunate as food options onsite not available due to scheduling. TV not functional. Would love more hooks on walls for towels etc. Ultimately would stay again, enjoyed Hahei very much!"

"Spacious and clean apartment in a good location just back from the beach and within walking distance of restaurants etc. Only issue we had was how bright the bedroom was in the morning. A really ineffective blind was the only thing separating us from an east facing window into bright morning sun. Bring an eye mask if you stay here!"
