"Really fun little hotel, with super helpful staff, who took care of our every need. The larger rooms on the first floor are really great, with a bathtub in the room and nice decor. We did have a night in a second floor room also- just a bit small for us- we’ve been traveling for a while so have more stuff than someone on a weekend away- though still lovely decor and nice and quiet. We used this hotel as a base to explore the area of Friesland and were really happy with the choice."

"The room was generally clean and comfortable. However, I noticed there was quite a lot of dust under the bed, so this area could use a little more attention during cleaning. The breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed having it delivered right to our door. One small issue was that the bathroom only had body wash and no shampoo. Overall, we had a great stay. Van der Valk Hotel Emmeloord

"Big clean room, spacious bathroom with everything you need"

Kroondomein Giethoorn

8/10 Good

"Perhaps I missed it in the listing but this lodging does not provide full serivces meaning we had to go to the store and buy our own toliet paper. Of course you can't buy less than a 4 pack and for a 4 night stay we only needed one extra roll leaving 3 full rolls behind that I am sure the property will use for other guests but make them buy more when they need more than one roll for their stay. To me this is a basic necessity that should be provided."
