"an air compressor behind the building kicked on every four minutes and I couldn't sleep. Left around 4am. In fairness, I called the front desk to get them to shut it down when I went to bed (they said they couldn't hear it, which was crazy because the building vibrated) and they offered to move my room. By that time I was in bed and exhausted and din't want to move so I stayed and stuffed TP in my ears to reduce the noise. Otherwise, the place was just kinda grimy. "

“A cool place for cool people” Bob’s River Place where kids and adults have been coming for over 40 years. This is not a water park it’s a swimming hole along the Swannee River. Bob who still sits out there with us helping us sit on the rope swings correctly. There are 2 slides and a lot of river fun for all river ages. "The cabin/park model we stayed in was quite spacious for just the two of us. Everything was clean. Dishes and pots and pans, bed linens and towels, fridge, were all nice and fresh, beds were comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was a little underwhelming. No extra blankets were available in the rooms, could be an issue on cold days in the winter. It took a few minutes to realize the mini-split ac/heaters were both operated by one remote, and how to work it, worked greated once we got that figured out. Strangely, the min-split remote also turned on the TV (?), probably not by design Parking is sketchy -- I can see that when the place is crowded that could be a problem. Food at the onsite restaurant was okay, but surprisingly a bit overpriced for what you got. The bar appeared well-stocked, but we did not take advantage of that. Staff were very nice and helpful."
