Nothing to shout about

Hotel is more like a motel: you drive your car straight up to your front door, which some may like: I found it a little odd, but it was probably because it was not expected. Very simple and basic facilities throughout. The hotel staff were friendly enough, but I think something went wrong in the transfer from the previous owners to the current ones as I booked the stay in June but by the time the stay came around in Aug they didn't know that we'd arranged an early check in & when we arrived the room wasn't ready. All worked out OK in the end though & we didn't have to wait too long for our room to be ready.

Was just what I was after...

....I was meeting up with friends who live in Aylsham so this hotel fit the bill in that it was the cheapest place to stay near Alysham centre. That said, when I arrived the reception was friendly and showed me where my room was. I did not see anyone again until I checked out a couple of days later (rooms are in a separate building and I did not eat in the hotel). The room was clean and no complaints there. The one annoying thing is that the room has electric storage heaters - it was warm so (given storage heaters take a day tio turn off) I had to sleep with the windows open which was not particularly secure (ground floor someone could get int)

Clean and very quiet. Hotel very dated Good breakfast Limited evening meal choice.

Great place to stay!

Liked the set up of the room. Comfy beds and great attitude from the hotel staff. If I visit Norwich again, I'll be booking a room.

A good breakfast,

The hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable however the stand out feature was the quality of the breakfast.
