Great hotel, big room with desk so perfect for work. Lots of parking at a small cost. Breakfast was great, room really clean and gym access 24 hours which is perfect when youve worked late. Staff are really friendly.

Mush improved food

I’ve stayed here before and the rooms have always been comfortable although a little chilly and I still haven’t worked out how to use the heating. The food has improved and breakfast was a real delight

Perfect other than public toilets remained dirty

Amazing staff really helpful and lovely hotel and breakfast. Th only let down was the public toilets jn the lobby. From checking in to checking out (24 hrs) the mens and ladies loos remained dirty. (Stains in all loos) no loo rolls and a pair of old shoes disgarded in ladies. They were grim and e told mmbers of staff at the night time bar. My partner was quite shocked to see the mens in the same state on checkout today. That needs addressing as otherwise a perfect stay.

Lovely reception, bar and restaurant area. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The Queen Deluxe room was sizeable but pretty standard in terms of decor. Plenty of sockets but no usb points.

1 night business trip. Straight off the M1 and A45. From check in to check out the staff were brilliant. Ate in the bar which was good and service was great. Noted some reviews about the rooms being dated, but i found it fine, comfy, clean, quiet and had everything needed. Only negative was the checkout took about 15 mins, confusion with the hotel sytem as i'd booked through hotels.com? but i'd definitely stay here again.

Rooms feel dated and no separate shower cubicle in bathrooms. The lights next to the bed don’t turn off the main lights. The restaurant serves overpriced food which has yet to be cooked correctly. Breakfast is ok but missing a good granola/yoghurt/compote most days

Staff are excellent, but building is seriously tired. Cracked floor tiles all over. Walls yellow with damp. Fridge just dumped on room floor. Not nasty by any measure, but not what you'd expect of a Hilton

Overcharging & incorrect debit transactions

Stay was business trip. Paid in advance via Hotels.com. Presented debit card as requested at check in. Extras totalled £10.50, which were paid. Hotel took an additional £102, plus then had further circa £94 pending debiting my bank account. I have contacted hotel & they advise an error. Now awaiting refund of £102 plus cancellation of the pending £94. Not happy.
