"The beach villas are dated. The water park was a great addition and the 4th of July activities were fun for the kiddos. Food at beach house restaurant is overpriced and not good. Did not love that the staff asked us to remove sheets/duvet covers from beds, wash dishes, throw out trash, and put all towels in one pile. When paying $7k for two beach villas for a 3-night vacation, I should not have to be doing any cleaning for the resort."

"The property was beautifully maintained. The check in/out was smooth. All staff were extremely helpful. Our room was very clean, and the cleaning folks were very good! Our balcony, beach front view was perfect for taking in sunsets! The beach was just across the street, and it was also staffed well. The restaurants were all great, as was the marina! We have zero complaints in our 7 day stay!"

"This property is a slice of Island Time perfection. Completely and beautifully renovated, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The location is off the main road, quiet and laid back. It has a wonderful view of the bay, a lovely pool area, and a quick drive to the restaurants and shops of Matlacha. Without reservation I highly recommend Matlacha on Shoreview for your next island get-away."

"I was amazed on how fresh and clean the room was . I am OCD with cleanliness and I can vouch for the cleanliness of the room. Only issue was the pillows. They were too hard and we woke up with a neck ache. Besides that this is all 5 stars ."

"We were in the tiki room which is a freestanding building at the back of the complex right on the parking lot. It was nice and very clean, spacious enough inside to walk around with a little area sink and fridge and then also the bathroom and bedroom area. They had so many hooks in this place it was fabulous because that is always something that is lacking. The air conditioner was cool and with the ceiling fan, we were super comfy. Some parking lot noise and a kind of low hum noise in the room...
