"Beautiful property, decorated and appointed to a high standard. Great spot to retire to after a long day exploring the area. Unfortunately, I thought the room looked rather tired and I found the bed quite uncomfortable, with hard ridges across the mattress all the way down. The bathroom in our room was OK but quite small. There were no shelves or anywhere to put toiletries or cosmetics. "

"The bedroom was lovely and clean, up 2 sets of stairs. Very close to the pub. But the Fethers pub is very dated. The bar/restaurant is a collection of old, marked furniture. Great location in the centre of Holt with friendly staff. Struggled to get parking as it felt like a few other people were using the car park, not just guests."

Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. And they are old and rotten. Triple glazed windows required. Carpets need replacing. Bathroom has been upgraded and is very pleasant but b&b...

"This is a wonderful example of historic English buildings that have been updated for modern stays without losing their architectural quirks and historical oddities. Not ideal for people with limited mobility, but we enjoyed ducking under low lintels and walking over uneven floors, some of which have been around for several centuries. Our room was clean and well-provided, and though there was a leak in the clean-water part of our toilet the owner told us that the required part was on order and...

"Plenty of parking available and easy to find. Staff were friendly and breakfast was nice, however our room had a strong smell of dog and wasn’t the cleanest. Areas of the pub look like they need a freshen up and they definitely need to hoover the hallways more as there was plenty of dog hair everywhere! Probably wouldn’t stay again for this reason."
