We had an absolutely delightful stay here. We wanted our kids to have the experience of staying within the walls of a medieval castle instead of a typical place and we loved it. I am recommending this place to all my friends. The first surprise was how modern the bathroom was, nicer than any of the bathrooms in the hotels we stayed at the rest of our trip. The proprietor, Luc, could not have been more accommodating - he was great. If you like the experience of wandering the narrow, winding streets of a medieval village, this is the place!

Excellent place to stay. We had a 'self-catering' apartment at La Maison aux Bonsais. The sign on the door says 'Guest House'. The owner Luc (and his son Michael) were very welcoming. When we arrived the fridge and pantry were well provided, basically giving us breakfast for our five day stay (with a short walk to the nearby boulangerie). The house is within a walled ancient village. There is parking available for guests and residents of the village. The owner's son met us at the security gate to the village and guided us to the house. Streets are very narrow so a small car is better. All was good with our stay here.

A little gem

Fantastic stay, we loved St Paul de Vence and will one day return. Our apartment had everything we needed and more, very grateful for the little extras. Bed was very comfortable and shower great. Micheal responded very quickly to our messages and was very helpful. My husband and I would highly recommend this place. Many thanks.

Das war wirklich ein wunderschönes Erlebnis in dieser ruhigen und schönen Pension zu nächtigen. Wir sind 7 tage in Saint Paul de vance gewesen und haben von dort aus die Cote azur erkundet. Am Abend wieder zurück zu kommen in diese herrliche Idylle war mit unter der beste Familienurlaub ever. Wir wollen unbedingt nochmal dahin fahren. Ganz besonders erwähnenswer ist der Pensionsleiter Luc der uns auch noch einen super entspannten Checkout ermöglicht hat damit wir chillig zurückfahren konnten. So nette Menschen vergisst man nicht. MERCI

Very nicely situated flat in old, old building. Dining room chairs on the small side to be able to sit with any comfort. Apart from that: Perfect!!

Lyd ett gott råd - ring INNAN ni kommer till St. Paul de Vence - sen kommer allt att bli så perfekt som det kan bli. Byn är otrolig charmig och välkomnandet från Luc och familj + vänner likaså - vi stannade 2 dagar men hade gärna stannat kvar! Vi bodde i ett "hus bland husen" - inga synliga tecken på "hotell" skyltar.

Absolutely wonderful reception by our host, Luc. He met us at the entrance to the village and accompanied us through the twisty, turning streets to a parking lot near our accommodation. Luc took us on a short orientation stroll of the village and we watched the sunset over drinks from a cafe overlooking the valley. He gave us print-outs of the attractions we hoped to see in the area. There were many thoughtful additions to the apartment which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Charming, cozy and conveniently located, the apartment is full of Luc's artistic touches. Quality linens and bedding, a well-stocked kitchen and fridge - everything you need for a romantic holiday. Luc is an exceptional host - he helped us with reservations, led us around town and even went to the pharmacy for bandages when my husband injured himself. Wonderful too is the morning delivery of croissants. Lastly, you can make the acquaintance of Wookie - the wonder dog. We highly recommend choosing La Maison Aux Bonsais for your stay in St. Paul.

En fantastisk upplevelse, utöver det vanliga.

Vi bodde i ett hus från 1300-talet med alla bekvämligheter man kan behöva, mitt i St Paul de Vence. Byn i sig är magisk och vår värd Luc var väldigt mån om att skapa en personlig upplevelse utöver det vanliga. Det märks att han är mycket omtyckt och känner platsen väl när man går vid hans sida och hälsar på alla ”locals”. För honom var det en självklarhet att möta upp oss vid busstationen och visa oss till vårt hem för de kommande dagarna. Kylen var fylld med godsaker att ta för sig av, det fanns färsk frukt och blommor och varje morgon kom han med nygräddade croissanter och pain au chocolat. Den vänlighet och generositet som Luc visar sina gäster är nog inte många vana vid och därför kan det vara bra att gå in med rätt inställning för att vara mottaglig för detta. Gör man det kan jag lova en fantastisk semester på en av världens vackraste platser!

We enjoyed a most idyllic 4 days here and cannot recommend it enough. Luc our host is truly lovely and made our stay perfect. St Paul is somewhere everybody should experience.
