"Beautifully renovated and clean room in a small building next door to the pub. We both found the mattress on our bed to be a bit too firm though. It made a lovely base for a couple of days exploring the area and the nearby beach (15 minute walk) is stunning. For a longer stay the room may possibly be a bit small but for two nights it was ideal. Good breakfast and the meals in the pub were very good without being overly expensive. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking at the pub is very limited with the on-street parking being resident permit parking so you may have to use the free public car park a few hundred metres away."

The staff were really friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a few drinks in the bar. The breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from ... delicious fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal and cereal bars, every spread you could think of for toast and the cooked breakfast was really tasty, again with lots of choice. We would happily stay again if visiting Amble in the future 😊"
