"Cockroach on 2nd floor. Bug in my room. Carpet from the 90s. Bathroom not clean. I asked for a room near the elevators and he put me at the exit door. Very disappointing considering I had stayed multiple nights. I won't be back. Staff unfriendly."

"This hotel is very cute, clean and centrally located to the downtown Leonardtown area. Parking was very accessible and easy and I loved that breakfast was included. My only issue was the woman working at the front desk when we checked in. She was grumpy and not very friendly. We arrived at noon so we understood it was early and that all of our rooms might not yet be ready, but she seemed annoyed at us! And didn’t offer any accommodations to help us settle in after a 7 hour drive."

"Towels & wash cloths were very DINGY, which calls into question the bed clothes as well. Also a complete lapse of communication /coordination between front desk shifts resulted in unnecessary stress and complication for check in of the 2 rooms I had reserved"

"The room had a smell of mildew coming from the bathroom. There was a nice size whole in the wall, and the shower curtain was not clean. The sink in the bathroom was chip in several places. That room need to be remodel and there is water from the ice machine on the floor which can cause a bad accident. The pool is not open, and it look a mess in the back where the pool is. The towels in the room some was not clean. The staff was polite"

"The room was cleaned and the staffs were nice. The shower head could use a little cleaning or replacement, which I forgot to mention to the staffs before I left . Other than that we had a wonderful stay."

"During the visit, the property look good in the beginning, there were bugs coming out of the electricity sockets. Later that day when I ask the staff for another cloth and towel, he told me that there weren’t any more and that I would have to wait until morning. Not to mention, he made me sit there and wait for three minutes while he counted and recount his money, Will not be staying again."

"Kiki, the receptionist was extremely helpful and honest. The room was clean but not maintained at all! More of a motel. Stayed for one night and that Is all I would do again. In an out!"

"Mary @ Front Desk was more than just that, she is a superstar and made us feel important and not invisible. She went above and beyond to help us when our reservation was canceled even after we were checked in.... it was a nightmare, but she helped us immensely. I will recommend The Spark to anyone traveling in Waldorf! We will also be back in the future."

"The property is a bit dated but not enough to disrupt the quality of the stay. The highlight of the property is Keri and Precious! We were there on a very, very busy week and they worked so hard the entire time we were there. Even when people came to them with hiccups or complaints they did their best to remedy guests concerns (even those that were being unkind). If I choose to stay there again it will be because of those ladies."

"Had the worse experience! I will never stay here again. We arrived at the hotel at almost 9:30 from a 10hr drive. Get everything situated at check in, we head up to our room and we walk to a dirty room, trash still in the room dirty sheets piled up on the couch, bed unmade like someone just rolled out of it. Irritated was beyond words. Head back down and they lucky had another room for 1 night that we was able to stay in, but the up keep was not what the pictures showed. This room had broken...

"The room was clean and no real signs of wear. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly. Parking seemed ok. Unsure if there were additional spots along the back or side of property."

"Checking in was Horrible! When I got to the front desk I was not acknowledged. Invisible, no hi I’ll be with you in minute, nothing. I picked this because the web site says 3 pm check in. I had some where to be by 5. Tori told me they were working on it now. It’s now 4. I changed in the bathroom and to my event. I got a text at 5:18 the room was ready"

"To begin, upon our arrival, there were several individuals in the lobby who appeared to be local residents loitering in the area. The lobby itself was generally unclean, creating a poor first impression. The elevator was also dirty, and the hallway leading to our room had a strong animal odor.
