First thing that happened which made the experience terrible was we arrived at this property and they told us the parking lot was full and there was no parking for the night. We parked outside the property in a pretty sketchy area. Once we entered the lobby, it looks like a cheap hotel even though the price doesn’t reflect that. Right on top of the front desk you can see the cameras which only made it even less nice. After we checked in, which was fine, front desk was fine, we got into a pretty beat up and dirty elevator. We arrived at our floor and we immediately smelled marijuana, which we didn’t think too much of to begin with but when we entered the room it also smelled strongly of marijuana. When we went to ask the front desk about it, they offered to send someone to spray febreeze, which is unacceptable. The room itself is cheap looking and felt dirty. The surfaces all looked a little grimy and the bed sheets were pilling and had hair on them. It just felt unclean and like someone had just been there but they didn’t clean. Anyway we did not stay here, we took our refund and left . Too much money for a cheap looking place.

Everything was O.K. except the fact, that one night there wea a party in the room close to our room. We made 2-3 calls to talked to the staff, they said that they will go see what hapenned ( and for the first 2 calls,nothing was done), but the third call make the staff go to that room # 301 and knocked several times before the guy opened the door and stop the music. the first guy told us to wait for the manager in the morning.

Amazing stay at this property. Really wish there was breakfast included, but the tea and coffee was amazing. Loved the balcony and the amazing view of the bridge. Great location, train station is really close. Also, very close to Manhattan so going to the city was very quick.

The bathroom sink was too tall for my 5' wife to use. I'm 6' tall and found it inconvenient. Needs more electrical outlets. The TV speaker was garbled (probably blown). Cabs and Ubers had trouble finding the entrance. There is what looks like a generating station between the hotel and the NY skyline, kind of takes away from the view.

Ravel is so wonderful. Front lobby personnel was so professional and courteous. The hotel is so modern and the decor is superb. My room was beautiful with modern minimalistic, but yet color rich decor and had a big well furnitured balcony overlooking the 59 St. Bridge and the Long Island City skyline. It felt so private and quiet that I felt like I was the only guest in the building. Also, you can be in Manhattan walking over the bridge in literally minutes. They offer parking ballet at the premises for $25 per night. I’d definitely stay at Ravel again and highly recommend it to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
