Fantastic stay

We stayed at Gasthof Knappenwirt during the Austrian Grand Prix. The hotel is in an idyllic rural setting, with shops just a short drive away. The Lohr family were wonderfully welcoming and considerate hosts. We were in Landhaus Winkelbauer, a newly renovated house on site, and ate breakfast at the hotel each morning. The was beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Would highly recommend for a group or family. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

Es war sauber, die Mitarbeiter sehr bemüht und freundlich. Ruhige Zimmer, kein Lärm dringt hinein. Leckeres Frühstück und im Restaurant gibts fantastisches Essen, sehr empfehlenswert. Super Aussicht.

Wir haben 2 Zimmer gebucht 1x mit Balkon und keinen Teppich im Zimmer da wir unseren Hund Maxi mit hatten.Die Küche ist 1A der Chef bzw auch der Koch holen die Kräuter aus dem eigenen Garten.Einfach nur Top.Die Zimmer gepflegt und sehr sauber .Ein Familienbetrieb erster Klasse.Das Haus ist auch sehr Kinderfreundlich wie wir sehen konnten.Wir kommen wieder da der Knappenwirt mitten in der Natur sein zu Hause hat und einige schöne Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung sind .

Das Zimmer war neu renoviert und ansprechend. Beim Frühstück waren bereits um 9 Uhr nur noch Reste übrig. Es wurde auch nichts nachgelegt. Dazu nur eine Sorte billigster Semmel. Für 10 Euro pro Person teuer überzahlt.

A calm and comfortable retreat

I was working at the Red Bull Ring race track over a long race weekend and this hotel came up as " nearby." Certainly not as close as where several of my colleagues were staying but well worth the drive. Very welcoming staff in this super- quiet village with a lot explore in the surrounding area. The rooms were simple and of very high quality spec, with a good range of TV channels, good speed wifi, comfortable bed, and very good shower room. There are a number of different room layouts, so I refer only to the space I occupied. A refrigerator would have been useful. In the upper floor, the room did get quite hot and there was no air-conditioning, but a window that opened wide, and a screen over the opening to stop mosquitoes and flies getting in, allowed for refreshing airflow. I did not have any meals at the hotel but I did see other guests eating breakfast and dinner, and the menus offered options for most tastes. Good off street parking and a friendly cat (which needs to be brushed) rounded out the experience. Will definitely consider this hotel again when I go back to the Red Bull Ring.
