"My booking was made last minute as a result of trip cancellations. It was easy as my wife made the booking online from the US. I was greeted by Zara in reception and she was very friendly and helped me obtain the map of the Wakapuaki cemetery where I was hoping to find my oldest brother who died when he was 11 months old. I was successful! The room was clean and had the necessary condiments etc. I would highly recommend the Beachcomber especially because of the staff but also the proximity to the beach. It is an excellent location with many eating houses, cafes, and pubs within a short distance of the hotel."
