Most of all we loved the location but we also enjoyed the room and our view of the temple. Everyone was helpful and we had what we needed for a pleasant stay in Nauvoo.

The facility is an old hotel whose rooms have been updated. They still have the creaky old floors, though there are rugs on them now. We choose to stay there knowing that, and because it was one block away from the Nauvoo Temple. The bed was great. We had to drive to another facility where we checked in and where the free breakfast was.

This hotel is located across the street from the Temple and the commercial district is very walkable. Our room was located in the basement of a very quaint historic building, but it was not clear to us initially that we had to drive to another hotel to pick up the keys. But....we were able to park just outside our room, which was a plus. A/C was great. Breakfast was minimal with no hot food.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was excellent from beginning to end. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. The room was cozy and well maintained, and we truly enjoyed how peaceful and relaxing the atmosphere was. We were very happy with our experience and would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and peaceful place to stay. We loved it!

We stayed in the Mercantile and you can't beat the location for Nauvoo. The staff were great. We only took advantage of breakfast one day but it was very good. I would stay there again in future trips to Nauvoo.

Our stay was great, only downside the photos and name of the hotel are deceiving, the photos of what we thought our room would be were not and it’s not the hotel in the corner it’s the one next to it called temple house village, the keys need to be picked up at a different location, interesting they had a mini fridge in the bathroom and a communal hallway microwave, but the room was clean , everyone was super nice, we had a great time.

Internet was poor, had trouble streaming a baseball game. No ice available in this facility. Breakfast was down the street a half mile. Ice available at the location of the breakfast. Air conditioner worked, but could have worked better. Pool was down the street as well. Not a great value for your money.

A wonderful room located just across the street from the temple. Great historic furnishings and artwork. Room was very clean and staff very personable and helpful. I would stay there again and would certainly recomend it to family and friends.

We were able to find a parking place right in front of the hotel. There weren’t very many places to shop at, probably because it was not the right time of the year. We came during our school spring break. That was April 3 time. I just wish there were more places to eat around the area. Or maybe a breakfast being served downstairs in the barbecue place. It was a cute hotel.
