Clean room, gym nice, pool wonderful. Things have changed since I visited 6 years ago. More desolate, resterant and bar with no people. Marina now with very little in it compared with 2020.

When we tried to check in, there was no staff Member to greet or take care of us. 6 couples were waiting at the desk for 10 minutes before anyone showed up. The inside of the main building is very pretty, but the rooms on the outside buildings were Not clean, locks broken, outdated, television didn’t work, and generally disappointing.

After entering room, we then went to get a bite to eat. Upon returning to the room, the door code would not work and we could not get in. I called the emergency number 3 times and no one answered or called me back. I finally drove over to the lobby and, like earlier in the day, no one was there and every door in the lobby area was locked. I pounded on every door, and then called again. Finally a fellow came out of a locked door and was very upset with me, In fact, he was terribly rude and accusatory. I guess I interrupted his nap! He finally came to the room and after some fiddling around he got the door open. The resort is not nearly as nice as is pictured online. There is no place to park near our room. Every day the few spots there were there were filled. Finally parked on the street and put our handicap placard on the window, I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. Grounds were not well kept. Beds were terrible - lumpy and crooked!! The one bed was so close to the air conditioner (about 3 inches away) that one could not sleep in that bed. And a big bug of some kind in the room which I was finally able to kill. One morning, before 8am, there was a fellow outside our room running the loud lawn mower on an area that had only dried grass - nothing to mow.

First off, if you go through Expedia, not all fees and taxes are included. The resort tacks on an additional $10 to be paid either via email bill or when you arrive. This is an aging property, so take that in mind. We stayed overnight in a "cottage", which was part of a separate area off the main hotel. There are 8-10(?) connected apartment style, not individual. Each has a nice screened in patio area to sit outside. The room was clean except under the beds. That hadn't been swept in a long time, and there was at least one hair elastic collecting dust bunnies there. I only looked as we were leaving to be sure I hadn't knocked anything underneath. The shower grout looks stained from mold, but tiles/floor were clean. Only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel provided, no face cloths or floor mat (for use after the shower). TV does work, but you have to figure out what HDMI is actually connected to the DTV box, (ours was under "game console'). Batteries in remote were dead so had to manually move channels/turn on etc from the main DTV box. Didn't try the WiFi to stream. The room has a full sized coffee maker, cooktop/micro and mini fridge. Ice you have to get from main hotel, but that's relatively close. Included breakfast is scrambled eggs/toast/sausage. Anything else is an order from the kitchen off a menu with resort prices. The staff were friendly, you just may have to hunt them down tho.

Absolutely terrible. I rented the 'comfort cottage'. When we arrived we were met at the front desk with no staff But instead there was a sign stating we needed to text a number and they would text back a our room number and a code to use to unlock that room. There were other people there as flabbergasted as I was. They told me they booked two rooms, but only got on and it wasn't the one they had chosen. They also told me it took 30 minutes to hear back about their room after texting the number. Because if this, I immediately called the number and after listening to an automated message I spoke to a man who simply asked me how long ago I texted for the room number. I explained what I saw in the lobby and I wanted to code to get into my room. I then received my room number to find out it is a room with two beds on the second floor - a tall stair case with NO elevator. I am traveling with my 80 year old mom who has ambulatory issues and that is why I rented the comfort cottage. When I look into the room and realized what was going on, I left immediately to call the guy again to let him know this is definitely not what I booked. He told me since I already checked in and walked into the room there was nothing he could do. I need to call Expedia. So I called and they told me the hotels policy was if I cancel the nights I was supposed to stay there they only refund 1/2 of the cost. I reiterated how the hotel fraudulently advertised their rooms & Expedia offered me a $25 gift card!!

Room was serviceable but lacked any paper towels, tissues, only 1 TP. Minimum dishware/glasses. Shower curtain needs REPLACED. Toilet water ran continuously. Bath towels are very minimal/substandard quality. Outlets are very loose and in awkward location for plugging in phones, laptops etc. Need luggage rack for suitcase. Armoire is not practical.

There was no one at the front desk to check in or check out. There was a note telling people to text your name to a phone number, The 8 people standing there did that, Went into the bar to find someone to help us.

First, there was no staff anywhere to be seen. The only contact we had regarding our room was via text. It was difficult using the code keypad to get into our room. After several attempts we finally unlocked the door. No directions on how to use the TV. There were 2 entirely different remote controls available. Not user friendly. There were no plates, cutlery or pots and pans available as advertised. So we just went out to eat. A couple of the electrical sockets were not working. The coffee pot didn’t work. Disappointing. No one emptied the tiny garbage bin. The bed was comfortable; the place was clean. The view of lobby from entrance and the balcony was pleasing, but not worth the money charged to stay here. The hotel is in a good location. Not too far from Goodland, Marco Island, the Big Cypress National Preserve and the Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve.

Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly a little confusing one morning coffee and juice were free the next we had to pay for it and I was charged an extra 190$ for amenities that I did not sign up for or use. Therefore It cost me more than if I would have just paid a higher rate to stay in Everglades city. Very disappointing Not sure how I am going to handle that yet!

No staff on check-in and the included breakfast was very, very disappointing. Rooms are very tired, the bathrooms have really seen better days. This is a hotel very much passed its best.

room was dirty, dead bugs, mold in shower and shower curtain was filthy along the bottom. Had bar stools that were so rickety that they would break if you sat on them. Never saw any staff except when you check in only between the hrs of 3-5pm. was supposed to have free breakfast that stopped after the first 2 days even when we had it they charged for coffee. Horrible place

Room was bare minimum. The shower dripped endlessly. There was no maid service. The room was a 1 out of a 5! rating. I am angry to have spent so much money on such a lousy room. We had just enough towels to get through our stay. Breakfast was “free” with an ADDITIONAL charge for beverages. One day there was a totally different breakfast and opened later.

We live in Minnesota and anticipated a warm, relaxing week-long, mid-winter vacation at this resort. I had hoped for a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of Naples or Fort Meyers. This was a nice location, but we were disappointed to find that the resort was run-down and understaffed. We arrived at 7PM and there was no one at the front desk to welcome us or check us in. Someone had texted us a code, so we found our way to our room and unlocked the door. Unfortunately, the room was dirty with a sticky floor, moldy shower, & smelled too strongly of air freshener. The room only contained a bed, mini-fridge, coffee maker and microwave. There is no separate kitchenette or sitting area. The coffee maker was broken and there were no filters. The bed was uncomfortable and bedding looked overused and thin. There were no extra pillows or blankets in the room. I wanted to leave immediately, but we decided to stay the night and see if we could somehow resolve these issues in the morning. However, in the morning there was still no one at the front desk to speak with. Also, there was supposed to be free breakfast included but they charged an extra few dollars for every cup of coffee or juice. Some red flags from the beginning were our e-mails, voice mail / phone calls and inquiries sent to this property before our vacation went unacknowledged and unanswered. Looking back, I should have taken this lack of responsiveness more seriously and cancelled this reservation.

The cook was also the receptionist. We arrived during dinner service and had to wait half hour to get our room key which was a code. Some doors where beeping due to room code keypad system all night. Another couple who arrived just before us where checked into a room that was already occupied. Due to this and the keypad lock system myself and my children didn't feel overly secure. Breakfast was included but you had to pay for juice and coffee. On checkout i didnt the obligatory look under the bed incase we missed something and found items that didnt belong to us!
