"It might look fancy and pool has been Bangkok there a diamond dozen there’s 100 of them unless you’re Chinese owned or your influence and have an American Express gold card. They don’t want you if you’re American. "Room was dated but clean. The size of the room was great. Keep in mind that there is a lot of stairs! Pool area is in the process of being updated but the pool water didn't seem as clean as it could be. Food was decent just a bit annoying that room service didn't start until 2pm. Breakfast was good, small selection but good tasting."

"The deluxe hilltop room view was amazing, and far enough from beach noise to sleep peacefully. The staff was very helpful, The restaurant food was wonderful and some of the best available. The dive shop and diving staff made staying at Bans the best trip to Koh Tao ever."

"Stayed at the villa, very big and clean, nice pool. It has air conditioning only in the sleeping rooms which is a minus . Staff are very helpful, breakfast was good. You can access the beach via stairs but this is good for snorkeling only. The hotel is far so if you need a taxi it is 500 bath per direction, or you can rent motorcycles but keep in mind the road is very steep . "
