This hotel is more like a backpackers, it has permanents living there. Dirty, smelly and noisy at night. . Smelt of smoke even though not supposed to smoke. Bathroom was VERY old and hairs on floor. Carpet was dirty, curtains were hanging off hooks. The outside of the building would turn you away straight away, but inside was far worse. We only had one night there as there was nowhere else to stay and we were glad to get out of there. At $121.00 per night I think this was disgusting. The previous night we had stayed in Kyogle at a near new motel for $120 and it was spotless. Lots of loud noise and bangs through the night. Never again.

Good location

Great location in the heart of Murwillumbah, walking distance to supermarkets and cafes & restaurants. We stayed 2 nights to get away from the coast due to schoolies week. I found the room clean and quiet enough to sleep, the only noise was the trucks & cars in the morning which is normal, and the air conditioner, as its a box in the wall, however it kept the room at a comfortable temp. The TV worked well. Due to the Hotels bar & restaurant under major renovations it was closed, so that was disappointing. Staff were friendly upon arrival and departure, and gave us some tips on where to eat dinner with a bit of discount. For the $ it was a good price in my opinion. If you don't mind a room that is probably 40 years old and you have to walk up a few stairs.

I did not stay the night. I did 3 hour drive home

The next day I also found my rear side door had been badly damaged by some maggot in the car park. Amazing that it was only in there for about 45 mins.

We arrived to check into the motel at 3:50pm to find: -reception area closed to check in -staff arrived after we rang a number to be informed that the room was not ready so we were unable to access -we explained that we needed to be at our function by 5pm so needed access - told to go & have a cup of coffee & come back -we had our beverage & the room still wasn't ready until 4:45 therefore we missed the presentation of our function, a very important function I might add -the next morning the workmen began work on renovations with a lot of noise just after 6:30am -you may gather that I am NOT impressed
