"We booked this hotel to have a nap in before our train departed but it turned out to be quite nice for the price. It is the cheapest hotel I've ever booked but certainly not the worst. We would have happily stayed a night if not for time constraints. The room did smell a little bit like cigarettes and the bed was Vietnamese (so hard by western standard), but again for the price we were happy with it."

"At check in, they kept insisting we have not paid for our room!, we had to show her our cc statement that it’s paid for. They won’t give us a room with a view, even though we were the only people staying there. We had to keep our curtains closed throughout as it was directly to an open top of the next building. At checkout, we were asked to pay for our room again! On our insistence, they let us go, as I said’ we paid for our room when we booked! Nice hotel, but the insisting that we have not...

"Absolutely amazing views, and such a comfy room. We had an electric blanket and a heater. We opted for the room with the bath tub and it was so cozy!!! You have to bear in mind this budget luxury and not everything is perfect in terms of appearance but it was still such a love lovely hotel. It included a great breakfast, moped rental, laundry service and even excursion. I could not recommend this place more!!!!"

"La Dao was amazing! It is such a gorgeous location and the staff worked hard to please. The only thing to be mindful of is this is NOT near the action in Sa Pa-it is about a 250-300 dong can ride away in ta van which is a long bumpy road to get to. But if you’re looking for a quiet escape it is perfect! "

"The location is great, very quiet within walking distance to everything, Sapa has ski village vibes. The owner is often working at the front desk and is genuinely an incredible human. We arrived 630 AM on the train and he permitted us to check-in to our rooms early, as well as check out at 5 PM with no extra costs! He even upgraded us to a superior room because it was available! "Staff is super friendly and helpful, helped us to organise sightseeing tours and let us leave our luggage while we went to Sapa. Breakfast is good and you can order Vietnamese coffee. Great location. Rooms are well equipped and laundry service is fast."
