"I have stayed at a few hotels in town now and this was the best to date. Clean (dated - BUT they all are) and centrally located. Beds were good, bathroom again dated but clean. The night we stayed it was quite. Bar was clean and modern. Parking unsecure but we parked outside our room. I would stay here again over the others I have tried."

"I’d been curious to visit Coober Pedy for quite some time and wanted to stay in an authentic (but comfortable!) dugout. I looked at a few different places and finally settled on a double deluxe room at the Underground Motel. It was the perfect mix of feeling like a real dugout with a small kitchen, bathroom, wi-fi, aircon, hot water etc. The owners are a friendly couple, chatty and welcoming. And very kindly collected me from the airport when I arrived and dropped me off in town ahead of the evening Greyhound bus to Port Augusta."

"Stay was great as usual. Room very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Love staying at Mud Hut as it is easy to find, has no steps, and parking is directly outside the room. As we have mobility issues, this is a big plus for us."
