"Twas near the cruise port and staff was extra helpfull"

"Rooms were nice and clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Had the worst nights sleep of my life though. Had to move rooms at 12am as couldn’t get to sleep in my first room due to a constant drone sound from a pump in the building. Reception staff moved me immediately. Finally settled down in the new room only for the fire alarm to go off at 2am. I’m sure my experience would’ve been fine had it not been for those problems"

"We were disappointed with check in. We arrived around noon and all the staff would tell us is our room is not ready til 3pm. Which was fine but they would not tell us the check in process and were quite rude. Grabbed our luggage and more of or less told us to get lost. Very surprising! I think they make more money by not releasing rooms even if they are ready til 3pm because guests hang around and spend money in the restaurant. "A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again."

"It has been awhile since I have stayed at an Accor hotel. I did not understand that there is an Ibis and an Ibis budget, I thought they were one in the same. I won't make that mistake again. No air conditioning in a heat wave, but a small inadequate desk fan. One type soap to cover hair, face and hands. "Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"Staff went out of their way to provide an excellent service and deal with queries, all of them, and we spoke to about six during our 3 night stay. Wi-Fi was a problem however, partly due to local geography. Would it not be simple just to put in an ID and a password which could be contained in room info?
