"The hotel itself is beautiful, the pools are mostly great. We had a swim up room and the pool outside was the worst pool of all, the window sill had caved in, the pool floor damaged, the fan control broken, pillows uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend the room type for the price we paid but the hotel is great. The service wasn’t fantastic, we weren’t advised where amenities such as gym were on check in and later found out we had to leave the resort and cross the road to access."

"To pay a grand for 6 nights.... and they have espresso coffee pods then expect $1 each pod... oknits $1 but if you capped it at 2 pads per person,...surely be ok? "Very close to four mile beach, lovely location in Port Douglas. Excellent swimming pool and nice, good sized room. Breakfast was great in the morning with a good amount of options and went on until 10.30am. Sound proofing was poor and could hear guests in the corridors and the rooms next door. Hot tub on balcony was nice but did not work very well. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Portsea Mantra, the swim up bar was wonderful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. A short stroll into town or the beach. This was great for a couple like us as well as families. Honestly was blown away by how good this place was! "

"Our spa room on the second floor overlooked one of the four swimming pools. Although the room itself was compact with little space for luggage, the large balcony with outdoor spa, table and chairs provided a sense of space. The large bathroom provided a walk-in shower, toilet and wide wash basin and cabinet.
