"The hotel is on the 5th floor of what appears to be an abandoned building, with sketchy elevator service. Although staff was friendly and the hotel was clean there was very few amenities. Location is great but not if you're looking to relax, Egyptians love their car horns."
"If you want to live the Egyptian experience, this is the place. in the center of the down town. The hotel is located in the most visited places in Cairo. At the hotel entrance is the busiest coffee and restaurant places, packed with people until late night. Very nice cooperative staff you will encounter is this city. Breakfast is delivered to your room daily not before 8:30 am (no breakfast room available), you are treated royalty with real Egyptian modern food. Many thanks for the fabulous staff and receptionists, Special thanks to Miss Sama (not related to the hotel ownership).
Our room had two balconies over looking the crowded space in front of the hotel. Pedestrian street called Al Alfie street is at the hotel foot print.
Thank you guys for a wonderful 21 days."
"Every little detail was perfect. There's a reason why I'm loyal to the ritz . It's the consistency the excellent service the attention to detail. It truly makes me feel like I am on vacation and it is worth every penny and more. Every staff member of this facility went above and beyond to meet my needs my wants and help in any way shape or form. So thank you for a great experience."
"Great breakfast so many options to choose . Room comfortable. Around the hotel area is very dirty and looks not really nice so is better stay in the hotel. "
"Great room:spacious, clean, nice partial nile view, .
Amazing cleaning aerice staff. I'd like to thank Mr. Islam for his excellent cleanning job, politeness and ensuring I get the best service. "
"We had a wonderful 3nites stay at the end of April 2026. The staff were attentive and kind. The location is excellent, in front of quiet alley with several cafes. The hotel entrance may be a bit off putting, but once you walk up one flight of stairs, Sama Hotel Sherif Basha lobby awaits you behind glass doors. Newly renovated one floor hotel. Be sure to select rooms with windows on the alley side or main street side. The windows are well insulated from noise. The location is only blocks from the other Sama hotel that is in the square, which is much more noisy. So many restaurants, shops and cafes to choose right in the neighborhood. Access to Egyptian museum and the Nile river is faster on foot than Uber, due to high traffic congestion. With that said, Uber is great since it is abundant and very very affordable. We love this location and the hotel is EXCELLENT. Breakfast is limited but fresh and basic. So many eateries around that we save our tummy for the street food. Can't wait to return to Cairo. Thank you for your hospitality.

"Clean hotel with nice friendly staff, clean bathrooms, the rooms need an upgrade though. The hotel is situated in an old building right in the middle of downtown Cairo which is a perfect location.
The continental breakfast was poor. The elevator is old and unreliable.
A good stay for the price."
