"All good, nice clean room, good selection of beers and wine, decent area outside if weather permits, and a very enjoyable meal in the evening. The village itself is very quiet, but would certainly recommend if looking for an overnight stay to break up a journey north or south."

"Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10"

"A beautiful B & B run by Karen in a tiny hamlet near Keswick. The room was delightful with comfortable bed and furnishings that matched the age and style of the building perfectly. Lovely view from the window over Karen's wonderful garden with, at the time I stayed, a hen with 8 tiny chicks. Parking was easy and the breakfasts filling and delicious. A wonderful stay in the Lake District."

"We stayed only 1 overnight on the way down from scotland. We could see lot of people staying for visiting the lakes. The hotel is in a very nice location. They are also pet friendly and they provided us a towel and a bowl for the dog. We highly recommend both breakfast and set menù dinner which was very nice. Room was clean and bathroom looked recently renewed."

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "Recently refurbished, rooms were clean and fresh and kept the original features of the property. Bathroom was lovely and bath a great size although did miss the option of grabbing a quick shower. Bathroom needs a blind or curtain please otherwise stunning room."
