Was a lovely stay. Free carpark, welcomed by a friendly lady on reception, good sized room although bit of a squeeze for the loo. Spotless clean through out. Comfy bed and good breakfast
My new favourite Morecambe hotel. Stayed here twice now, should have tried it earlier. This is an older hotel, not slick and modern, so quirky, and the facilities are more basic, and may not suit you if you prefer modernity (try the Midland, and then pay for it!). More space in the rooms than many other hotels close by. Friendly staff, nice bar, a little quiet, which is fine by me, as there's a busy bar downstairs in the basement. Decent breakfast at a reasonable price
Seaview, comfortable and clean. Bar closed at 10.00, breakfast ok. Would stay again. Good local taxi service and bus used.

Deluxe its not
The hotel is clean enough and the staff are pleasant. We stayed in a deluxe double room. There was absolutely nothing I would describe as deluxe about this room. The shower was pathetic, just a trickle. The ceiling had patches of mould above the bath. The sea view was nice but the window was small and the sill needed painting. The breakfast was ok but would benefit from some decent sausage
Nice and clean for an old building. Hassle free online booking polite staff on reception. Clean room. WiFi in room. I will use again.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Tired old hotel, slow checkin, shower a trickle, excellent location however. Breakfast low quality so I left that, coffee stone cold. Cheap hotel, but cheap quality is what you get.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Cheap and reasonable
Hotel is ok, if a little basic.
No restaurant although there are plenty of places within a walk. It does have a bar but the Davy Locker bar next door is open later and has much better choice.
Staff were excellent - the breakfast however is something to avoid
We had a lovely stay at the Clarendon Hotel. The breakfast is well worth it. Generally quite clean rooms. The wifi isn't the best, the shower pressure is less than desirable. However the beautiful views and friendly atmosphere definitely makes up for it. The surrounding streets sometimes feel a little unsafe so I wouldn't let my children out on their own.
There was a miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel, as a result my room was double booked. However, Ody the night porter was an absolute star and sorted it all out.
A clean room, just as expected.
Thanks Ody!!!!
We have stayed here lots of times in the past but this time it was very disappointing .
The room was clean but had an odour about it ,the. Curtains were poorly fitted .
The tv could only receive one channel . We mentioned it to reception on our way out and returned to the one channel ?
Generally the friendly , helpful , warm atmosphere was absent .
Clean comfortable room, with a good price discount via one of the booking websites.
Friendly and helpful receptionist for booking in, and free on site car park.
Would have preferred fresh, rather than instant coffee for breakfast, and croissant that were a little more authentic.
Will certainly re visit hotel if we return to Morecambe, but I'll pack a French press and some real coffee.
Thanks for the hospitality.
We stayed at the Clarenden for one night. Communication leading up to the stay was excellent. The hotel was traditional with original features but comfortable for the modern guest. The room was quite small but comfortable and clean. It was a very cold night leading up to the recent storm and the room was quite cold. Apart from that it was a very pleasant stay.
An older style hotel, which I prefer. Quite well maintained, and the price is reasonable, so dont expect super modern luxury. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good, pay a small supplement for the full English. A repeat stay for me.
