We had a great stay at Las Marias Cottages in Monteverde. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a peaceful place to relax while still being close to town and local attractions. The hosts, Alexander and Maria, were warm, responsive, and very helpful with local recommendations. Overall, a wonderful experience and a place we would happily stay at again. Highly recommended.

Cute property with a nice garden, hidden from the huddle and bustle of the town. There is an equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. However, the neighborhood dogs get into a shouting match anytime at night so make sure to have earplugs. It was unfortunate because I love the nature sound.

The place is big and has everything we need (blankets for cold nights or AC for hot weather, hair dryer, towels plus everything to cook). The place is quiet, surrounded by nature and just far enough from Santa Elena (5 min drive). You do need a 4x4 to get to Las Marias. The host was very nice and accomodating with our arrival/departure times. We had a fantastic time. We would go back for sure!

Awesome stay!

The complex was serene! Felt nice to have our own space with outdoor space as well. It felt like we were in our own little villa. Was able to even see wild animals within the property itself! Also met one of the owners and he was very friendly. The only downside is that the roads getting to the property are very rough so a AWD car is recommended

If you want to stay in the forest away from the crowd, this is a great spot. Quiet. Secluded. Need a car to get to and from the city and excursions. Place was clean, well kept, spacious. I’d stay here again! Opened my window and saw monkeys outside!

Very responsive. Had coffee and coffee maker. A fence and locked gate surrounded the property. Very attractive grounds. The 4:00 AM neighbors dog alarm was an added bonus. Got our day started early.

Perfect spot - not too close or too far away

We absolutely loved staying here! Beautiful, gated property with your own parking spot and own building/ cabin. The cabin had everything you could need, including a compost bin and cooking utensils! This was very nice for us as a couple but would also be great for families. It wasn't in the middle of everything which I liked because that area wa stoo busy. It's very close with still being secluded. The hosts we're also very nice. They checked in on us and helped us catch our tour shuttle that we had booked previously. Definitely recommend this property when staying in Monteverde!

The people who own this property are amazing. They are kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the animals, plants and environment of Monteverde. The property was lovely and felt very safe. It was close to things, but not really walkable and the drive is a bit bumpy on the road to get to the property. It is quiet,private and good for bird enthusiasts. The house was clean and kept free from insects (mostly). We enjoyed 2 tours with one of the brothers, mauricio, and enjoyed it very much. He was very likeable and provided us with a lot of knowledge of the flora and fauna in the biological reserve. Overall we highly recommend staying here. They are very responsive to any questions. There was a small issue with the shower leaking water into the living room slightly, but the owner was made aware and plans to repair the issue.

This spot was the perfect spot if your looking to get away from people and the city and enjoy nature. It is a couple of cabins spaced out on one large property. It is in the jungle. Its about 10 minutes out of town from monteverde, you will need a vehicle to get to it from the city and i would reccommend 4x4. While we didnt need it for our stay, there are some very steep gravel hills which wouldnt be a huge issue except that it can start to rain like crazy in the blink of an eye. If you are looking to enjoy a nature getaway this is the place to be. There is enough space between the other cabins that you have your own space even if they are occupied while your there. There is a bbq and a full kitchen that was stocked with coffee and all the basics you will need to cook. Be warned that it is in the jungle. There are bugs, large bugs, lots of large bugs. There are also jungle sounds that can get pretty loud at times. That said the opportunity to appreciate the jungle animals was amazing. The night we showed up we had a toucan showed up and put on a cool show. Hunmingbirds were in and out, at night the fireflies came out too. And to top it off if your lucky enough to have a clear night the stars are awesome out there. If your someone who wants to be pampered and have a luxury stay this probably isnt for you. But if your willing to sacrifice the comforts of the city and enjoy nature. I would highly recommend this spot.

The cottage was very romantic for my wife and I on our short stay in Monteverde. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Private entrance with key lock gate made us feel very safe. The porch is perfect for soaking up some afternoon sun. There are four cottages on the property but each is secluded in their own way. Very close to town. We would stay again for sure. Just longer

Gorgeous setting and really cute cottage. Owner was helpful. My son loved the guava from the trees. Only thing that could have been improved would be to have wall air conditioning units.

Cabañitas acogedoras en un jardín bonito. Sin vista al exterior. En la cabaña que nos tocó se escucha mucho el viento y la lluvia en la noche, tiene su encanto pero no te deja dormir muy bien, tanto que hay tapones para los oídos. Lllegada autónoma pero poca atención de los anfitriones.

Es ist ganz schön gelegen und man hat seine Ruhe. Mit dem Auto kommt man überall gut hin, wenn man sich an die Straßenverhältnisse gewöhnt hat. Die Aussicht ist leider durch Bäume etwas verdeckt. Perfekt wäre es, wenn noch Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern angebracht wären, dann könnte man auch abends die Fenster öffnen und muss nicht die Klimaanlage anmachen.
