LOVE that there’s no weight limit for dogs at the property. We wished we could’ve used the spa but it was packed the entire time. The room was modern and clean. It was a nice touch having my name on the tv throughout our stay.

Good place to stay in Monterey off CA Highway 1 and close to many places in Monterey, 17 mile drive, Point Lobos State Park, Big Sur. Helpful staff and has all amenities required for a family stay. Only hiccups were washers not working and on extending stay by a day, the room cards were not extended locking us out for 30 minutes.

While the staff was very nice and the location very good, I felt the property was a little worn and there was no air-conditioning in Monterey. You probably don’t need it most of the time but we were there when it was quite warm. The staff suggested we open our sliding glass door to cool down the room, but there was a wedding reception going on so it was kind of noisy to have the door open.

The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is fantastic. We got the buffet because of all the choices. We enjoyed a glass of wine by the fireplace each evening. We ate dinner 2-3 time and it was very good. The menu does not change. Everyone was friendly and very helpful! I really appreciated the free bottles of water!!!

Staff are friendly, check-in/out is easy, and the hotel as nice as you’d expect a chain hotel to be. The location is close to the highway, which is great for travelers, but not an awkward area to walk around and you’ll likely drive everywhere. Parking for a fee when there is nothing around is borderline offensive. The outdoor bar patio/balcony area, and the pool area are nice to have access to. Our room wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped—it smelled like bleach but in one corner the floor was very sticky and our socks were dirty without shoes on yet they don’t provide slippers. We paid a premium to stay here so I think I just expected more.

The hotel overall was clean. Unfortunately we had a large dog above us that wanted to play in the middle of the night, we do love animals but not getting sleep wasn't good. The pool was really nice with cabanas and all the time fire pit there to enjoy by the pool. The staff was very tentative and accommodating to us.
