"For a pretty expensive hotel, it was missing something for me. Positives: Great rooms, spacious and very clean! Negatives: no room service, small scratchy towels, no tea or coffee included, loud noises in the hallways and a rooftop that is open to the public so it’s veeeeery busy.
In a lovely area and nice bathrooms, but there are a few things that could make it the extra bit worth your money.
Staff were lovely and helpful!"
"We loved everything about our stay here. The location was perfect. The hotel was very nice and recently redone. The only complaint I have is that the water pressure was low in the shower. The rooms are a great size for New York City and worked perfectly for a family of four with two teenage kids and lots of luggage."
"It is an appealing, older, traditional hotel ideally located in the theater district only a block from times square. The room was well appointed and comfortable. There is a nice lounge on ground floor. The AC worked well and there was minimal street noise. There is no breakfast but a deli next to the hotel has a wide variety of chouices for breakfast at at reasonable price, A parking garage is conveniently located across the street."
"Stayed at the Empire Hotel last week for a week while I worked in Manhattan. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby had lovely jazzy vibes. I asked for a quiet room as I needed good sleep to work and they provided the perfect room. It is perfectly located beside the Lincoln Centre and the subway is a 2 minute walk. I will stay again for sure."
