Human feces on towels & food poising.
There was human feces on the shower towel. I asked reception to replace this and they did no,t nor did they bring a new towel to the room when requested. Asked for a manger, none came. Also go food poising from the resteraunt.

Very good hotel, with nice rooms. The steam shower was an excellent addition, the rooms are comfortable and the AC works very well. The restaurant is also excellent. Only downside is the location is not great.

Clean, comfortable hotel with great staff
Clean hotel. Easy check-in process. Not far to walk to centre of Mons. Restaurant offered great food - we went for desserts. The room itself was large and had a powerful shower in a perfectly sized bathroom. Parking was part of the price and so the stay was economical too. Staff were so helpful and the little touches in the room were great as we hadnt had these in other hotels in Europe at the same price point. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the region. Hotel is also close to a mall (15 min walk) that had places to have coffee and also do some chocolate shopping as some premium Belgian chocolate brands had shops/stalls here. Of course there wer either shops too as per a notmal mall.

Hotel was everything i expected of a four star rating. Clearlybthe focus is mainly on business users as the congress centre is next door. Finding it was a bit tricky as the hotel address is not yet registered on my satnav, and a number of local roads are closed due to building works. It's a 20 minute walk to the Grand Place

Things didn’t go well for me on this occasion! Blocked lift’s by house keeping at 4 pm. Free mini bar! Just water as explained by reception! Fridge,light works,thats all! Stella in restaurant off! Service terrible! Waited for beer for an eternity and Gave up. Many other issues but that gives the general picture of my experience!

Traveling to visit family who lives in jubrise (a town close to Mons) on a vacation. I was so glad I stayed at the Van Der Valk Congres. Very well kept hotel. Everything is clean, from the Hotel room, hallways, restaurants and common areas, I felt really comfortable during my stay. First off the staff was very kind, helpful and patient with me. I confess I’m a stupid American and don’t know any French or Dutch, but it didn’t matter because 99% of the staff from the cleaning crew to front desk knows English. The rooms comes with all the toiletries and water in the mini fridge! All towels and wash rooms are very clean. Also the water in the shower room gets very hot. The cleaning crew are very helpful and accommodating! Room service is pretty cheap as well, very worth it! Room service is from the restaurant which is on the ground floor and it was a definitely highlight of my stay at Van Der Valk Congres. My family member who lives in Jubrise and hangouts at Mons said the restaurant at Van Der Valk is the best he’s eat in the area! They offer very meal during any time of the day and price point. Break

There is nothing unique about this hotel. Hotel was not very clean. Staff was uninterested and did not care about the guests. Breakfast was overpriced, and again no service from the staff what so ever. We had spiderwebs hanging on the sealing right above our bed, had to complain twice about it before the removed them.

I really enjoyed my stay. Having a restaurant at the hotel was a big plus. Unfortunately, i didn't use the swimming pool neither the sauna. I will book this hotel without hesitation for my next trip!
