"Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat."

"Wide choice of fresh food with all amenities easy to use or staff onhand to assist, and therefore, we looked forward to our breakfast every morning. Set up for the day. Staff even taking us to our room after arriving a little earlier than expected with our cases. All was clean, spacious and comfortable in the room. Lovely shower. Plenty of clean towels. Storage enough for the two of us. Staff always happily noted our return and departure. Very helpful about the area. Reliable and friendly. "

"Nicely decorated and very clean, cramped and cold though. In a fairly grubby part of town. Very overlooked by other buildings into room. Staff assistance was prompt but there is no in person presence. Quiet at night and good black out blinds. "

"Great location, 2 mins to the beach. Staff were productive and help with using the machine to check-in without being asked. Room was modern, up to date and cleaned. Buffet breakfast was fresh. Overall, I would recommend to others."

"Excellent value for money. Basic and dated but clean. Firm comfortable bed. Bathroom basic but fine, bits of mould here and there but clearly been cleaned properly. Turned up early and left bag with assurance night porter would be told..later night porter knew nothing about me. But we found bag. Breakfast was really great for the proce and lovely man seeving toast and coffee. V pleased overall"

"This was our first stay at Hotel du Vin Brighton, and it exceeded my expectations. It was a really nice hotel, clean and very quiet. Drinks in the bar, where also really good and staff where very polite and helpful."

"Staff were lovely, as was breakfast and the bar. But the rooms and decor are the key feature of this hotel and certainly make it unforgettable. Our room and bathroom were not huge but more than adequate and comfortable. The theming of the rooms, corridors, stairways and bar area is amazing, thoughtful, creative and makes this hotel worth a stay for sure, as does the cheeky nature and sense of humour. We will likely be back just to try a different room! Thanks"

"The staff were helpful and friendly, the location is good (easy walk to the centre), the view from my room was superb. But this place is tired, it needs updating, the furniture is tired, the carpet is tacky and it feels neglected. The breakfast is very limited and i suspect that it will be very noisy when there is a show on. The terrace stays open to the small hours and i felt lucky that i stayed on a Tuesday when there was no show and the weather kept people away from the terrace."

"The bed was clean but extremely uncomfortable, the bathroom was not very clean the curtains had mould. The location is good, it’s very close to the beach, and good restaurants."

"We really enjoyed our stay. We had such a warm welcome from lovely Kalim on reception and had the best pina colada at the bar. Best we've ever had. Lovely hotel, lovely staff , they couldn't do enough to help, We had a wonderful breakfast and really appreciated the help from the very friendly staff who came to our room and helped with extra bedding. Just a lovely place and a lovely stay :)"
