"Ich hatte schöne Tage als Alleinreisender im Raum Arnstadt und bin im Hotel Goldene Sonne für fünf Tage gut untergekommen. Der Inhaber als auch die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und hatten für die Umgebung immer einen Tipp parat. Für den aufgerufenen Preis fand ich das Hotel hervorragend. Es ist lediglich schade, dass das Restaurant des Hotels nur noch Sonntags, und dann (so meine ich) auch nur zur Mittagszeit geöffnet hat. It was, I think, one stop to the train station and another stop to the downtown. Rooms clean, comfortable and larger than tropical European hotel rooms. Breakfast was good."

"A fabulous gem of a hotel with very helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, extremely comfy beds, nothing too much trouble (I ordered a kettle to make tea). Right in the centre of the old town - perfect location. Gardens within the court yard a delight. (NB Expedia - there isn't a swimming pool!)"
