"We spent three nights at Katari hotel in Arequipa (May 2026). You can't beat the location, right on the central plaza! They serve a very nice breakfast (made to order) on the open-air terrace overlooking the Plaza de Armas. It was so peaceful and lovely. We also had drinks at sunset from the same terrace. Loved it! "The staff was extremely helpful. Don’t get the room #10. Very noisy from the street below all night. If you do make sure you have earplugs. However, it is to be expected considering you are in the middle of a busy city. The hotel is very clean and the roof top patio is very nice and breakfast is great. Did the Colco Canyon two day trek, difficult but amazing. Also the white water rafting. Definitely a must do. So much fun!!!!"
