"Could not recommend Hotel Residenz Schrannenhof enough! From literally the moment we walked in, we were treated like family and felt fully and wonderfully taken care of. They allowed us to check in early so we could nap after our long trip from the US, given recommendations on restaurants/bars and info on train tickets, and the breakfast was amazing every morning! The staff are incredible and our room was big and perfect. Plus, the hotel is literally right across the street from the train...

We requested a late checkout at 2:00 pm instead of 11:00 am, and they graciously accommodated us, which we truly appreciated. Our room was clean, comfortable, and warm, and the breakfast buffet was excellent with a great variety of options. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations and is 100% recommended. "Wonderful hotel in one of the castle wings. Room was large, but the bathroom was small and has a bathtub with shower, it’s OK, but not more. In the castle cellar is the Czech National Wine Centre, where they have over 160 wines from the Czech Republic, and you can buy s ticket for 2 hours and taste as many as you want, each wine has a large fold-up with data and a QR code so you can read in other languages. Valtice is a very nice little town, there are many wine-bars and restaurants, well worth...

"Was wonderful. Was had to wait awhile to check in, but there was self-service wine and we sat outside in the garden on the beautiful sunny afternoon. The rooms were large and lovely, very comfy beds, large bathroom, the heaters were plenty warm. We did a tour of the winery production and had a heuriger dinner that evening. Situated in a beautiful paet of the Weinvertel, and there are ample opportunities to hike and ride bike. Lots of other wineries nearby as well."
