"All-Inclusive to Mexico is better. This resort is a nice way to step away from the crowds of tourists at the parks and surrounding areas. However, public furniture is dirty and overused. Prices are typical for California….2x the prices at other tourist destinations in the western states. The pool is nice, but too small. Hot tubs are crowded with kids under 13. Too many young families here. If you have teens find a different place. The water level at the bay is also low and sandy beach is dirty."

"Very nice outside patio and the convenience of having the beach as the backyard. Only bad thing I can say is how small the bathrooms are. The homeless and noises outside is bad but the hotel has no control of it. Other than that My family and I had a great time. "

"Ignore any negative comments, can't recommend this place enough. Staff is top notch, property is in great location and up to date, and it's in a great area to get around San Diego."

"The room did not meet expectations, especially considering the resort fee we were required to pay. Noise from neighboring rooms was quite noticeable, particularly in the early morning when we were trying to sleep in. I would have expected better soundproofing, as found in many other hotels, but that was not the case here. The room was also not very functional—there was only one chair, and the table was too small, making it uncomfortable to sit and eat. Additionally, the amenities felt lacking given the added cost of the resort fee. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for my family."

"I do not think we are the intended audience for this hotel, which is on me!! Seems excellent for families, we were on a girls trip. Highlights: seal rescue, morning coffee truck, easy beach access, staff was fantastic and very helpful! Hot tub was nice and clean! Improvements: we had a parking lot facing room so minimal time on our patio, our lamp between beds was difficult to get on and then eventually didn’t work when we returned to our room the last night, the outlets are very strangely spaced and were inaccessible for one of the beds which was inconvenient. "

"The room was perfect for us (2 adults, 4 young kids). Very clean but needs updating on water damage door and frame in bathroom. Everything else was great. Staff was always helpful and pleasant. On our list for any return visits"

"Very nice property with relaxing atmosphere. Check in and check out was easy with friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Walking around the property during evening hours was very relaxing. Only negative was the window shaking airplane noise for like an hour in the morning. This seemed like a daily scheduled air force training of some sort. 15 minute drive to downtown and other interesting areas. Beaches along the roads of the bay were very nice. We will come back to this place when in San Diego."
