  • The Island of Courage and Sorrow (also known as the Island of Tears, a small footbridge leads from the Trinity to the Island of Tears, a memorial commemorating Soviet soldiers from Belarus who died in the decade-long war with Afghanistan between 1979 and 1989. This is my second time staying at this hotel, the first time I had slight problems with the front desk and their attitude, but this time everything was perfect. Very clean, nice rooms with everything you might need, comfortable bed, very polite staff, and can’t beat the location, everything in walkable distance, I really enjoyed my stay and looking forward to come back.

Very conveniently located in center of Minsk. Check in was fast, staff was polite and pleasant. Room was nice and clean. Plenty of dining options around. Just in property itself there are three restaurants. The one with beautiful view of city over river is on 21st Floor. Here is the shopping mall attached to the hotel. On top of the mall on 6th Floor there is food court. There is a cafe named "Vacilichka" there with local Belorussian cuisine. Nearest subway station within 10 min walk. Underground metro system is clean and fast (you have to buy token for ride which cost 1 ruble). You don't need a car to get around. Minsk is a very safe place to be around. Surprisingly credit card was accepted almost everywhere. It will be in advantage of visitor to know local language to explore a city. Definitely will stay at this location, if I ever visit again.

Very well located hotel, within walking distance of the most important sights of the city. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. I appreciate the free parking. The advantage is the connection of the hotel to the shopping center
