"This is not a 4-star hotel, and I would not stay here again. We stayed 3 nights in a Junior Suite. On the second night, I woke up to water pouring from the AC vent. Maintenance came in the morning, but when we returned later, there was water all over the floor again, plus bubbling paint on the walls and ceiling. They then suspected a roof leak, not the AC. We had to move rooms and were offered either a smaller room or another Junior Suite that had been out of service due to peeling paint in the bathtub. Since we needed two beds, we took the second suite. That room had more issues: the TV remote didn’t work and a bedside outlet was broken. Between 3 maintenance visits, packing, and moving rooms, we lost half a day of vacation and missed the only nice weather window. The front desk staff and maintenance workers were kind, but the manager was dismissive and rolled his eyes when I asked for compensation. He only offered to waive the resort fee ($125 of our $1,000 stay). I felt one night refunded was fair, but he refused. The hotel feels more like a 3-star property—older building, maintenance issues, and only 1–2 tiny elevators working. The pool and beach were nice, but management completely ruined the experience."

"Wow wow wow! Amazing hotel. We have stayed here when it was the Confidante and this is a great update on it:) Beautiful comfy outdoor seating, lovely rooms and byredo in the showers. What else do you need? The beach was great as was the pool. We ate at the wonderful Aguascalientes. Everything is thought out. Beautiful!"

"The hotel had a few hiccups. We were given a room where the air conditioning vents were right outside our window. Hard to believe they actually sell the room to people. Luckily, they not only moved us but upgraded us to a lovely ocean view room. On the second night in new room the AC stopped working. However, after many calls to front desk we were assured the team was working on it and in a couple of hours it was back. Huge props to them for fixing so quick. The pool chairs and staff are lovely. As well as beach chairs. So comfortable. Restaurant by pool was delicious. As was dining room- Donna Mare. Overall, the staff was excellent, amenities good. I would think about staying again."
