"The biggest problem was the unpleasant bad drains smell which we encountered as we walked into the building, along the corridor, up the stairs and into the bedroom. I turned the tv on and found the screen was smashed and so only 2/3 of the screen was visible. We spent only a few minutes in the room, in the evening, as we were with friends, who were staying else where. We returned to our room, to quickly change a shirt, before heading off for the rest of the evening, at a party. We returned...

"Initial impression- good. Car park all gravel but plenty of parking. Reception - water on offer but it was empty. Were told our booking didn’t include breakfast but included 20% off food and soft drinks. Nice because we had forgotten. No information on where restaurant or bars not a big problem but it is nice to be told. We booked a table for dinner. Was given our room key. We asked if it was possible to walk along the river from the back of the restaurant… no access it is only from the other...

"A really enjoyable stay at the Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage. The hotel has a lovely character and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly, professional and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The room was comfortable, clean and well presented, and the overall service made the stay feel relaxed and enjoyable. A great location too, with everything you need close by.
