Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
great location ,views and ok comfort
our stay was pleasant, appartment had everything we needed. Wasnt amazingly clean, opened dishwasher and it must of being blocked by previous stayers and its smelt vulgar. No bedside lamps, but all in all was an ok stay good location, handy supermarket, great view. Not enough carpark
We booked Experience Platinum Hotel Apartments in October 2019, only to be told at check in that the hotel is full due to Australian Open, so they will have to move us across the street to their sister hotel, Bella Apartments.
There was no point in arguing since there was a 100% occupancy so we hoped the room and the hotel would be just as good as the one bedroom apartment we had originally booked. However, from the initial contact with a not very helpful receptionist, we felt that would not be the case. The room was quite okay except that the carpet was one of the dirtiest I have ever seen, certainly not associated with a 4 star hotel we booked. The balcony window was broken and the room was a lot smaller than the one we booked. Also, Bella did not have an indoor pool & spa we planned to utilise, nor was the gym as good as the one we choose.
At least we came in for the Open and did not spend much time in the room.
To cap it off, after checking out, we left a laptop charger plugged in the wall, and having called the hotel about it, the lady in a call centre for Experience 'Platinum' Hotels said she would let us know if they find it, despite having explained to her exactly where I left it.
She never called back so the next day, she said she would follow up with the room services, only to tell me a few hours later that nothing was found.
Overall, terrible experience and a first complaint I made, despite staying in dozens of hotels every year, being a gold (not Platinum) member.
Thankyou to the checkin service the gentleman was amazing went above and beyond to make sure we had an awesome stay here, will definately be recommended this place and i will be coming back for sure.

We stayed there for 7 days. I means we have an amazing view from the room. Location is not bad you can walk 8-10 mins to where you can get the free tram to CBD. They have supermarket down step which is really convenient for us to buy milk and stuffs as we have kids. They also have gym, sauna and swimming on the top floor that you can enjoy. Feel things that need to improve on is the furniture in the apartment. They look a bit old and table isn’t stable. They don’t have 24 hr reception. If you need something after hour, you need to talk to intercom. The elevator services also have problem sometimes.
We couldn’t of asked for a better stay at platinum over the Australia Day long weekend. Pricing was cheap for 4 people and it is so convenient to the Woolworths which is attached to it. Would definitely stay again as well as recommend it :)
Our smoke alarm was beeping every 30 minutes. We called for help and the lady disregarded us. We called again 40 minutes later and a man came to help, but then it started beeping every 30 seconds. All throughout the night. It was awful. With the beds being hard and uncomfortable on top of a beeping all night long.
We got moved to Bella apartments, which was fine. But we’re promised a bigger room with better views, there were better views but we felt the room was smaller. Communication at the front desk wasn’t good, the vouchers we didn’t know we needed for breakfast were not handed to us, & we were given a parking level and spot number, which had someone in it then the next spot number they gave us didn’t exist.
Breakfast was quite tasty, bed was comfortable & smart TVs in each room is a good idea.
Stayed on the 48th floor with stunning views out to St Kilda. The indoor pool and gym on the 52nd floor was amazing. Compact and ideal for a 3 night stay. Minor downside was there is no bench space in bathroom for toiletry bag.
The location was perfect for us to attend an event at the Melbourne convention centre. The convenience of the supermarket next door was great and the pool and spa is fantastic with an amazing city view! I loved the late (11am) check out which meant the kids could get more time In the pool
My stay wasn't enjoyable, first off was the check in using the phone etc which was a pain. Rather talk one on one rather than on the phone to check in, incase we have any questions. The Condition of the room is alright, dirty here and there in the apartment. Towards the end of the night, before sleeping there was a room above us who had a party. This went on till 5 in the morning, which made our stay unpleasant. Smoking above us aswell in the balcony and spilling drinks. This is not okay

Liked how it was very central and handy to have the Supermarket just below.
Didnt like that all the hotel carparks had been taken, had no knowledge we had to pre book them, surrounding carparks were all full so had to park at Crown. Also didnt like that the room looked nothing like the picture online, was abit of a let down, we had 5 guests and there was no extra bedding, luckily our teenager decided to sleep on the couch!
Check in was through a machine and we could not get extra room keys. As we had booked a 2 bedroom apt and there were 4 of us, this was so inconvenient. To get extra keys we were told over the phone, we had to find another hotel, down the road somewhere, to see if there was a chance they might have an extra key. We did not bother, and were left out of the room for the night, as our friends did not wake up to let us in, as they had the only key. We had to find another place to sleep, luckily a friend of mine lives in the city. So we wasted our money on the bed! Also there was NO INTERNET. They did not even know what service provider we should use! There was no one at the hotel so everything is done by calling someone with an accent, who probably is not even in Melbourne. They said there were internet problems just for our room, which was just ridiculous and dishonest. We had booked a room with free Internet but it had none. We had to ring up for details on logging in and they could not help. So frustrating. Also, as it is a busy residential apt building, the lifts are constantly busy, overcrowded and pushy. It was like schoolies week. The pool was full of loud teenage boys bombing each other and yelling the whole time, obviously let out for the first time ever.
Cons: no bedside lamps in any of the bedrooms
: Communication very poor- I had house the washing machine for cheer uniforms that where needed for the next day. Error kept coming up , couldn't get the door open to retrieve my clothing and the floor was flooding , there was water everywhere. I made my way to the reception to inform them that I had massive wterflow flood happening and could they send someone up, answer no they didn't have anyone they could send up. I then asked for heaps of towels so I could try and start mopping up the water, the water was making its way to the carpet. No they said I would have to walk to another building down the street to get towels. This was totally unacceptable as I had young children in the apartment and did not feel comfortable leaving them. (this was happening after 10:00pm at night) He said ok I will get you some towels. 30 mins later no towels, floor flooded and I still can't get the washing machine door open, went back down to reception only to be told to call a number. Called the number and surprise, surprise was told to contact reception. Jus going around in circles. Disgusting poor customer service. No shower in the morning as I had no dry towel due to everyone used to try and mop up bathroom floor. Eventually go the washing machine door open with sopping wet clothes.
Pros: walking distance to Melb Convention centre
: Woolworths
: comfortable bed
:great pool on the 52nd floor
