There someone living there and we had to get other accommodation, which was very stressful as we were going to a wedding that started at 4

Convienient place to stay

We needed a place for a couple of nights to visit family over the Christmas new year period. The location of Bastia was great within walking distance of the shopping centre and loads of cafe / restaurants. The street was quiet. The unit itself was roomy, and comfortable had all the things we needed for a couple of days. Will stay here again.

Private 2 bedroom apartment

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and private, being at the end of a cul-de-sac. Having a garage for the car was nice.

The property was in a good location for us. It was close to Eastland (a large shopping centre) where we could purchase the food that we needed. The front door entry was easy. On arrival I rang the contact person to ask some questions and the person was a bit short with me and quite defensive. We had requested a cot for our child, but it was not set up and not immediately obvious where it was located. The person said “most people bring their own sheets”, and when I commented “it’d be nice to know that before we arrived”, he crossly said “there are some there”. Further there was a strong smell of deodoriser or cleaning product and no key/s to most of the windows to air it out. There was a nice balcony with a sliding door, but it was also locked, and instead access to the balcony had to be gained through a more complicated route through the laundry. There was only one heater for the house located in the living room and this made it difficult to heat, particularly in the children’s room. Overall it was clean, and had good cooking utensils, but there was wear around the property. Could do with some updating and replacement.

Toilet door knob not affixed to the door. It was therefore not possible to shut the door when using the toilet as once closed you could not get out again. The apartment was tidy enough but could really do with a good clean. There was also cob webs and spiders in the bedrooms. It was ok for a 1 night stay but wouldn’t have liked to stay any longer.

Almost home away from home.

Well appointed unit with everything you need for couple of days or couple of weeks. The property is well located close to Eastland shopping centre. Although close to main road, very little traffic noise was heard. The only issues found were that I could not access garage as it had a broken key in the lock ( although garage not advertised ) and I could not get split system heating to work to take the chill off the air.

Brilliant accommodation, close to all facilities

This home is self contained. Lovely, quiet and close to all facilities. Lots of eateries, close to Eastland for shopping, close to the Yarra Valley and the Dandenongs for sight seeing. I needed a comfortable base in Melbourne as I was having day surgery at Maroondah Hospital. Perfect! The property had a lovely pergola and dining setting, so after a full-on day, we were able to have dinner on the deck and enjoy the sunshine and outdoors. It was so good that we are planning to book the unit for future trips to Melbourne.

Excelente casa, espaçosa e com todas as comodidades (por ex. Máquinas de lavar roupa e louça). Muito próximo da estação de comboios bem como de centro comercial com 2 supermercados muito próximo. Para quem tiver carro, tem uma excelente garagem bem espaçosa!

Great value for money.

A good size unit and in the surprisingly quiet neighbourhood. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. Easy access via a Eastlink/Eastern Freeway to the city.

Great convenient place

It was a cosy, clean and beautiful home. All of us enjoyed our stay. Coles supermarket is just a stone throw away.And it is just right at the centre of CBD and Other attractions. We certainly would recommend anyone to stay here.

Home away from home

We stayed at the Home and Away Ringwood@barida for 3 nights over Easter. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and we had all the creature comforts we needed. It was nice to have that extra space with separate sleeping, eating and lounge areas. The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice to be able to cook our own meals without having to eat out every night. The beds were comfortable, and the unit clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean with a good sized shower and bath. It had a separate laundry and a dryer in the garage, which was great. The area is peaceful and a 2 walking distance to local shopping centre and 5-10 minute walk to the train which takes you into the heart of Melbourne. There is also a nice park close by with a walking path directly behind the unit. We needed to get to Jells Park everyday and it was an easy 15 minute drive on the Eastlink or 20 minute drive down Springvale road. It was easy to get to via Ringwood bypass road so we could avoid having to drive through Melbourne itself. This is a great place to stay and the owners very helpful. We would highly recommend this to anyone, but don't stay at Easter because we want to use it. :)
