"Lovely ‘simple self-catering’ in the heart of Dartmoor. Great set of appliances to have a nice coffee and brekky in bed! Coffee and non-dairy milk included - thank you Terry :) we really enjoyed our stay and had a super sleep. The hot tub looked inviting but the weather was just a bit too miserable for us to venture out there. Next time!"

"Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room. "Checked out on arrival as the room had no air conditioning and the temperature of the room was at least 45 degrees, we were offered a fan but this would not have helped. The room was also really small, with an unpleasant smell but it was nicely furnished.Requested another room as apparently some rooms do have a.c. (The hallway leading to the room was a pleasant temperature) we were told they were fully booked (although Trivago showed 3 rooms available when we looked for somewhere else)...
