"We only stayed there for a night after seeing a play and I have to say it has exceeded our expectation greatly. The room is spacious. The bed is comfortable. And while it situated only a stone throw from Shakespeare's birthplace, it is very quiet. The in-the-room breakfast for a small fee is a very nice touch and we will definitely stay there again if we're in town. "

"From our after midnight arrival to the manager who went out of his way to change us from one type of handicap access room to one that was better suited to my needs. This property was run like a well oiled machine. The staff overall was polite and helpful, which obviously was made possible by the manager who seemed to treat them all the same way he treated guests (kind and helpful) even when he wasn’t in the building the staff was exceptional. A rare find these days"

"Neat place above the pub. If staying in that section, the stairs are quite narrow to get checked luggage up - but doable. We booked through Expedia and it said no attendant on site - so there was confusion on where to leave our bags and we did not receive a response so we ended up paying Premier Inn to hold our bags. "We stayed two nights. The hosts were amazing. Great choice for breakfast. Very convenient for the town. The bedroom was quiet with a lovely view to the garden. Didn’t realise there was a fridge until the last day!! We will return hopefully when the weather is better"

"Room has air con but it does not warm enough. We got a separate heater otherwise could not sleep for sure.Water pressure of shower is quite slow, no amendities provided in room such as cotton buds, shower cabs, sanitary bags. Good points are big room for family with 2 big sofa beds."

"Blisteringly hot in the room and a/c not working. Windows all restricted opening so impossible to get through draft. Breakfast ok but good coffee would be a useful addition - and please will someone go a try a proper French croissant before serving these chewy tired imitations. "The property if fabulous! The grounds and gardens are beautiful! Our apartment was nice, however the bedrooms upstairs were warm as it was unseasonally warm weather.There were fans in both bedrooms which helped a lot. We also had breakfast there and it was very good. The staff was very polite and helpful. I would stay again."

"Stopped here for a few nights as we had a wedding to attend. All was good though I am a light sleeper and did have trouble due to a low pitched hum that persisted through the night. As we weren't staying long we didn't ask to move to a quieter room. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest you make it clear when you book that you need somewhere quiet. The food was good and reasonably priced and the bar prices were not as steep as some we have encountered in other hotels."
