Top Marshalltown Hotel Reviews
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Marshalltown by IHG
8/10 Good
"The water spigot on the drink machine at breakfast was broken . It wasn't repaired in the 5 days I was there. I was told to go to the water fountain by the gym . I think that was poor service. Water is a staple. Why not provide water from a big pitcher like the Best Western did at my previous hotel. Otherwise the breakfast was very nice. The property had a lot of grass for dogs😁"
The Black Hawk Hotel

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was so pleasant and extremely helpful. Thank you."
Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo - A Caesars Rewards Destination
8/10 Good
"The room was nice and very clean. I missed having a coffee maker in the room so I could have my morning coffee without leaving the room...plus I like to enjoy a cup to relax before going to bed. Otherwise, it was a nice evening. I also missed the buffet big time. I've had many meals in the buffet and they were fabulous. The Brother's Restaurant is okay but not my liking...too expensive and the food was mediocre."

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ames, IA
10/10 Excellent
"I was in Ames, Iowa for a family emergency. I needed sleep and asked Sandy at check in if she could get me a quiet room. Boy, did she ever. I didn’t hear a peep on the third floor my entire stay.. Even with a ISU football game one weekend. I ended up extending my stay twice and was seamlessly kept in the same room. The room was very clean and up-to-date. The breakfast was solid, rotating scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausages, bacon… and having waffles, granola bars, fruit… available all days. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi that’s open all year round, a significant perk in this winter climate. Ames is a college town with lots of hotel choices. Many are very nice and I would put this property among the very top options. It’s conveniently located near I-35 and Highway 30, a quick drive to the Iowa State campus and maybe more importantly, Hickory Park restaurant. If you’ve been to Ames, you know what I’m talking about. There is also a nice Mexican restaurant, an Olive Garden and a pancake house in the immediate vicinity. Many other stores and restaurants are five minutes away on Duff Avenue. And did I mention they have fresh baked cookies in the lobby?"
