We stayed at this property for 6 days. Upon arrival, everything looked great — clean, well-decorated, and equipped with essentials such as a hairdryer and ironing board. Unfortunately, several serious issues came up during our stay.
A strong, awful smell was coming from the utility room on day one. When reported, the caretaker dismissed it and blamed stray cats. Days later, we discovered a dead rat behind the washing machine, which had chewed through a hose — likely the cause of the smell. The machine remained unusable despite promises to fix it, and when the caretaker offered to wash our clothes, they came back with powder marks.
The smart door lock also malfunctioned regularly, often triggering alarms or refusing to work properly. Even after a clear "low battery" warning, the caretaker refused to replace the batteries, despite the risk of us being locked out.
While the owner was polite and responsive, and the caretaker generally available, the handling of issues felt dismissive and unprofessional. The apartment itself is lovely, but poor maintenance and service ruined the experience. I’d give it 2 stars — the potential is there, but serious improvements are needed.
